  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Things you love about the G70

If you got AWD, you can blast through it! I've done that numerous times, haha. Kind of fun watching the snow bank explode, with snow flying everywhere and up over the hood.

Some other company used to call their cars The Ultimate Driving Machine; times have changed.....Le
They still make some really good cars though. They just go a bit too far sometimes, whether it's pushing the mechanicals the very edge of their limit to eek out the most performance (at the expense of reliability), or overly complicated user-interfaces.

Well put. Can we talk about those front grills though?

For a manufacturer to be able to make such attractive cars but also the 2004 E65...blows my mind.

I confess I think M4s and the 4 series in general are/is gorgeous, particularly from the side (not the huge nostrils though lol). Other Deutsche models, of the vehicular sort, that make me turn my head are Audi R/S7s and S5s.

Look close this is one of the things I love about my G70.

Is it the mileage while using the intelligent cruise control feature?
It's the fact that a powerful car can even achieve such mileage. Yes that was in cruise at 70 mph set to 2 car distance.. Note that It's not even in ECO mode and its an AWD. That's what I call as phrased by another company "The Art Of Engineering".

@Ernie3647 less than 2000 rpm at 70 mph? that's the v6 I bet. Impressive

My experience: deduct 10% for actual mileage compared to indicated.

Real world hand calculated (or fuelly calculated) highway MPG for me last week was 27-30 from Louisiana to Colorado and back, generally at 75 mph. Click my fuelly badge for details.

I (my opinion) BMW quality has gone down; yes the cars are very lovely. As for Audi, the RS8 is such a beautiful car!

Still being surprised by features I never knew the car had over a year into ownership.

i.e. that the side mirrors fold down when the car is put into reverse. I had the mirror select switch in the center position all this time, so I had no clue.

Is that option on all models or only on the higher range? Never noticed that on my Advance

I believe every trim has the same mirrors, so it should be on all models.

Make sure the mirror select switch on the driver door is in either the left or right position. Doesn't work if it's in the center (which I find a bit odd).

Interesting, didn't know that. I usually keep the switch in the middle position. I'll have to try it.

That's also the way my other vehicles that had that operated. So lesson learned.

Why is it odd? It is a nice feature if I was parking on the street which is rare for me. It is not a nice feature backing into my garage where the right mirror is my guide.
