Things you love about the G70

Why is it odd? It is a nice feature if I was parking on the street which is rare for me. It is not a nice feature backing into my garage where the right mirror is my guide.

I like the feature too. I find the on/off mechanism of it odd.

The neutral position for the switch seems like the natural position, which is when the feature should be on. The feature should be off when it's in the left or right position.

Atleast that seems more natural to me.

That's the way my BMW worked.
Of course, this is easy enough to get used to as well.

I assumed the mirrors in all trims were the same. Looking at the manual now it does say 'if equipped' so I guess not all trims have it.

1. 2019 3.3T versus 2022 3.3T the Auto Hold Parking does not reset when you turn the car off - you can program to keep it on! Love this feature.
2. 2022 3.3T when the car is locked, the car will unlock with just a touch of the backside of the door handle
3. 2022 3.3T love the new widescreen display
4. 2022 3.3T - love the remote start on the key fob and the ability to roll the windows down.

-The steering wheel change track button on the left side now changes tracks in the opposite direction. Up is backwards and down is forward. this makes more sense when going through a playlist up and down. However, I did not notice this from my 2019 3.3T and kept saying "why does this only play one track" when I kept pushing up.

I can set my mirror-down-in-reverse settings in the DIC, turn the feature on or off. 2019 3.3.

2022 G70 LE: Puddle lights are fun but my favorite is blind side camera that appears when using the L or R turn signal.

ya know what I really like about this car?

The steering and the braking.

It just works correctly and really reminds me of an older M3 I used to have that had such a linear feel and was just so direct. If the new BMW had similar feel to their older vehicles we would have one now...but the truth is they just don't drive that great.

I love when the headliner doesn't squeak and rattle, I love it when it's not throwing constant small evap leak codes and smelling like gas, I love it when the transmission doesn't thunk, I love it when the diff doesn't whine in low gears, and when all the parking sensors work. That's when I love it.

One thing is the on the 2020 light cover condensation has started to fog up the plastic for the headlamp in the inside. Anyone know a fix for this other than replacing the whole headlamp cover replacement?

The fact that the gas cap has a dedicated holder on the little door so it doesn't just dangle and touch the paint. And that there is a large plastic inset to catch any drips when filling up.

Every car I've ever owned for decades has had that clip that holds the gas cap. Sometimes it holds the strap, sometimes the actual cap attaches to it. I'm shocked at how many people don't use it though.

Most new cars have no gas cap at all...and it's really nice. Why does the G70 still have a gas cap?

I see that Ford and Chrysler have patents for cap-less fuel fill. I wonder if Hyundai is unwilling to go thru the cost of finding a way different enough to get their own patent, or unwilling to pay licensing costs to either Ford or Chrysler? It seems unlikely there would be some technical reason stopping them.
