  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

This is the way I'd prefer the Hyundai Genesis to look

I am with you on that. Honestly, I am not thrilled of 'Waterfall'(as Hyundai is calling it) grille they are using.
Yeah, the "waterfall" grille is too weird for me... I'd much rather have a straight, normal looking luxury car grille.

Reserve final judgement until you see it in person. That's all I'm going to say.

I wasn't sold on the grill design until seeing it in person. It's now my favorite aspect of the exterior design. I just wish the rear were a bit bolder (it's quite bland in person).

It's interesting to see you say that.. I will reserve judgement. :)

The Genesis looks nice, but the styling is an amalgam of Mercedes Benz and Lexus. I don't think that is awful - there's only so much you can do with an aerodynamic sedan to make the styling unique. Lots of automakers borrow elements from each other.

The waterfall grill isn't beautiful, but at least it's different from any other sedans in the Lexus GS, Mercedes E class, BMW 5-series, etc... etc...

Agreed on most points. Although I think the styling is more a mix of BMW & Lexus (the rear has BMW influence, and the front looks a bit like the LS460...mainly the headlights). The interior looks "Japanese" as well, except for the i-Drive type controller on models with the Tech Package.

I'm just glad Hyundai didn't tack on some ugly chrome fender vents that seem to be popular right now. I have a feeling this recent design element is going to look so cheap and dated a few short years from now. You know they're overused when the start putting them on trucks (Escalade EXT, Super Duty F-Series, etc.).

I agree that the style of the Hyundai Genesis is part Lexus LS460 (front) and BMW 5-Series (rear). Honestly, I think that's a pretty nice mix...
