  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Thoughts on moving from 1st to 2nd gen. sedan

I am tempted by what new 2013 or 2014's R-Spec's will go for when the 2015's are on trucks heading to the dealers. A new 2013 could be had easily for $10K off MSRP even months ago, so I suspect 2014's will follow suit, if not better soon.

It is tempting to look for a killer deal and settle for less tech and refinement, but a final G1 model at a possible $15K or more gap over the likely less discounted 2015....

Not paying MSRP! There will be an R-Spec., there is some talk in Hyundai circles about the possibility of an N series a la Mercedes AMG. The N denoting their Namyang design bureau. R will remain the highest state of tune offered in normal production. HP is rumored to be down by an insignificant 9 HP to 420.
I was wonders about the 420HP --- not sure it is down. The Rspec 2013 is 429HP, but only with high test. If regular gas it is 420HP. It says it in the manual and elsewhere. Regards.

I need the power seat bolsters, so I need the 2015 V8. Will be selling my 2013 6k mile Rspec only due to the seats. Will be a good garage kept car thats only 7 months old. Regards.

Maybe, but the V6 HP is down also, and it was always spec'ed with regular gas. From what I understand torque is up on both in 2015, so lower HP rating is not out of the question.
