If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Is anyone experiencing a rattle coming from rear seat or back area?

My 14 Lexus GS had rattles from almost day one, on a 60k car! Got most of them fixed, but still has slight occasional rattle on driver side door. In less than 2 years, I am kicking the car back to Lexus!

Genesis wowed me with initial quality but with less than 1500 miles on, I hear a slight ticking sound coming from rear. It seems like it is coming from center seat in the back, or some place around there. Quietness was the biggest factor in getting this car Vs others, so this ticking noise is getting old fast.

I've read threads regarding sunroof rattling and I don't think mine is quite the same, it is more of slight ticking noise?

Check the rear side window sunshades. I have no ticking when they are UP, but since putting them down last night, I have started to hear the noise. Coincidence?? I will be looking into it, but it certainly has nothing to do with the rear sunshade or the sunroof in my car. Maddening though, huh?!

Might not be what you have, but just in case.

I had a rattling noise which seemed to be coming from the rear compartment. Any time the car went over a bump it would bother me and I would try to see what it was in the back.

Eventually, it turned out to be the front passenger's seatbelt buckle by the B pillar. When someone would get out, it wouldn't always go back straight but would sit at an angle and knock against the pillar.

I think I have the same issue. I suspect it's coming from between rear center-right, and I've had it from day 1. I only hear it when it's very, very quiet so it doesn't bother me that much but as soon as I find the source I'll be happy to share.

I have the same irritating ticking sound and it appears to be coming from the right rear door area but I'm not sure.

So yesterday, I lifted up the rear seat bottom to see anything was loose, didn't find anything, I secured it down. Then I closed the center armrest in rearseats. Didn't do anything else, but haven't heard any noise yesterday and today. I don't think what I did could have helped any but so far, quiet. Perhaps it is the ski pass through that was ticking and by closing the armrest quieted it down? I do not know and don't have high hopes yet.

Update: The dealer ended up replacing the entire pano sunroof. This has stopped the rattle! Glad to have my quiet Genesis back!
