I just bought a 2016 Genesis. I believe with the stock tires. Placard on the door jam says 33psi but at that pressure the tires look downright flat? Anyone have any suggestions on this? They came at 42psi from Carmax.
On other vehicles (I don't rotate on my 5.0) I've rotated my own tires because I'd never had a dealer or shop do it that inflated to the correct PSI or torqued the lugs to spec. That told me all I needed to know about those places.I have found that after a dealer rotation, the tires are over inflated as they inflate them while the car is lifted up...one would think they would be trained on the effects of weight on the tire but seems not to be at my service dealer shop.
42 PSI when cold will cause the tire to wear out fast and give a rougher ride.
My car is at 33 cold, rises up to 36-38 after two hours of high driving(80 mile per hours in Texas) and I still have a smooth ride.

I wait until the next morning then deflate the tires to 33 psi. Not a big deal but annoying as it is harder to deflate a tire to the correct psi then inflate a tire to the correct psi I have found.
