  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey Guys,I bought a pre owned 2011 v8 with almost 20k miles on her.In the very near future it,s gonna need some new tires. My question to you all is how big a tire can I put on the stock rims with no issues,I'd like to put a little wider on but would like to get some opinions on the subject first.

Search tire on the forum. They are many threads. whatever you do make sure the revs per mile are about the same as the oem tires which is 770. A 245-45-18 will be close.

The Tire Rack website has recommended tire sizes for wheel sizes that typically show some alternative, permissible sizes. If you go down the details of a tire brand/model, it will describe the different sizes available, as well as tire characteristics such as revolutions per mile, etc. There's a great deal of information, you just have to dig a little for it.

Good luck, and I hope improved fuel economy is not a goal!

Be aware that wider lower profile tires will in most cases adversely affect the ride.
