  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Toasted 2013 Porsche Caiman S coupe today.

Nice win DRS, I love to hear the words "what is that thing" after surprising someone, the looks on their faces when you say "it's a Hyundai" is classic.

^^ yep... Still funny to this day. However, if end up with a 2015, or later, will not be able to say that. Because it will lose.. I just drove the 2015 Ulitmate. Amazing how much slower it is. Yes, not broken in.. However the extra weight and "revised" motor "tuning" are curses. End up with a 2015, will be like owning a Equus. Maybe will have to go look to run down Buick 4C turbos. I am expecting a higher powered R-Spec model in the next year or so, hopefully that will increase the performance over the 1st Gen R-Spec. I'm sure Hyundai did not just hire the director of BMW's M Division and set up a development center at the 'ring just to make slower cars.

^^^ good point. But then M-man might convince the Koreans to price it at over the top pricing. We will see. I bet something cool is up. As long as we do not get fake sound piped in, with some wheezy V6 sputtering TT. But that is another discussion for another day.

The first gen speed advantage is hard to let go of for something slower.

I have shared many similar experiences and shocked many a driver in my '12 Rspec. However, I took one on the chin the other day.

Ran multiple light to light takes with a audi RS7. First run caught him off guard, and he clearly didn't expect to need 100% - 2nd and 3rd run, he was clear winner. I had to look him up afterwards.... book says that car will run 11.6 quarter mile!! that is super impressive! However he paid a little over 2x for his ride... so I am still pretty happy with my Rspec - but there are some other beasts out there from time to time!

Yep... We are not the fastest out there. Faster than most.

RS7 is a beast. "The Book" should also say about 550 hp , AWD, and 3.4 sec 0 - 60! I would have passed on that one, in the Genesis. But, I do appreciate your honesty.

Hahaha. I didn't even try against an E63 AMG I cam up against in september. 630hp twin turbo V8...no sound like it when he opened it up haha

worth it just to see those impressive beasts open up.... they can blend in too easily if left alone!
