  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Took the coupe to the track saturday

Bitterness among the non-Genesis owners.

I used to drag alot in my air cooled VW. The 1/4 track was not my 1st thought with the Genesis but I am curious to see what it does. My 1st thought was the run through the desert on the way to Vegas. Did it and got there in record time.

I was considering the track only to gauge the improvement(s) once I start tuning the car

any way you put it.....the 2.0t is slow.

its a nice looking entry level car that is peppy but not as fast as say a honda civic SI :)
I should know...I own a 2.0t.

that said, the 2.0t is a nice platform to build power if you are into that.....and I am.
the 2.0t can build some crazy torque and some decent WHP with a few minor bolt ons.
with a turbo back exhaust, intake, wastegate actuator, and powerAxel reflash a 2.0T can make 250WHP (thats 300 engine horse for those that do not understand WHP) and 300-340 torque.
this puts it in a different class of cars and because of the nice torque it will be faster off the line than a lot of 300hp cars.

now add an improved intercooler and turbo with supporting mods and you can shoot for 300-350WHP depending on your boost levels.
I have seen lovefabs 2.0t hit around 380 whp with their new turbo kit on you tube. (considering buying this one)
If you go beyond bolt-ons and start upgradeing internals it seems the 2.0t is breaking the 500WHP area which is impressive considering that the Genesis has not been out for long.
