  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anyone run across or does anyone possess torque/horsepower graphs for Genesis with the Tau engine? I'd be very interested in the shape of these two curves. Hyundai lists max torque occuring at 3500 rpm, but is the curve a steep climb to 3500 and back down, or is there a wide, flat plateau in the 330 lb-ft range? Hopefully it's wide and flat and if so, how wide - 2500 to 4000rpm? 2000 to 4500 rpm? I registered at dragtimes.com and asked to be notified when/if a 4.6 dyno run is posted, but was wondering whether this info already exists. Thanks, all.

The TAU V8 has a really nice and flat torque curve. The power can be better at lower rpm range.

Really is amazing low end torque, but I am surprised by the low HP at 2 k. While not a beast, it pulls well from 2k

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
This explaines the "non-linear" excelaration some owners have reported, with a flat torque the HP kicks in late making a noticible power increase beyond 4000rpm

I love the "kick in the pants" sensation when the engine spools up. The sound of the engine is great.

all i have is this one run dyno that compares WHP and WTQ with an exhaust system and stock

A V8 for the sake of putting a V8 badge on the car, not performing like a similar engine should, but who cares! Thats just some "judges" opinion that goes out the window as soon as you start modding. :p

This is my stock run:

After our secondary cat deletes:

And just to show that the intake flap removal isn't that big of a deal, here's with the stock vehicle and only the flap delete done:

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
