Today was the first day I was actually able to take the Genesis on a good trip, about 150 miles, since purchase. Didn’t notice anything odd and I averaged about 24mpg which I was more than happy with considering it’s the V8 and had 5 passengers including me. On the way home I noticed transmission flared while accelerating onto the on-ramp. The 5-6 shift around 2500rpm slightly bumped to 2700rpm before dropping. No noticeable thud and it settled into 8th at around 70mph with no other issues. The passengers didn’t notice. Around town the transmission shifted fine and noticed no flare. Went back on the on ramp and was able to reproduce. Downshifted with the paddles and flared again when upshifted with the paddles. I would like to reset the adaptive values on the transmission and have it learn my driving style and see if that makes a difference. Any ideas before I take it in for service? It’s a 2015 with 64500 miles, approximately, and no malfunction indicators are lit.
