Anybody experience transmission stutter at gear changes? I have a 2013 3.8l sedan. The best way to describe the sensation, the gear changes are at too low an rpm. Its avsimilar feeling when you are driving a standard, and its in too high a gear

I think that would make a constant, knocking, rattling noise, but no, I haven't checked.Have you crawled under it and checked the drive shaft coupler's?
I do not believe so. I would believe cracked coupler would act like a worn out universal joint. Which can cause hesitation and a delay in power transferring to the rear end.I think that would make a constant, knocking, rattling noise, but no, I haven't checked.
If I gun it, there is no hesitation, if I manually switch gears, there is no hesitation.I do not believe so. I would believe cracked coupler would act like a worn out universal joint. Which can cause hesitation and a delay in power transferring to the rear end.
I would check it before I even considered a new transmission.
Like I mention I would check the coupler before thinking it is a trans issue. If I gun it, there is no hesitation, if I manually switch gears, there is no hesitation.

between 1250 and 1500 RPM, and anywhere from 30 mph upFrom what RPM to what RPM and at what MPH?
That's a normal RPM range: upshifts will normally initiate at 1500 and complete at 1250 RPM for light-moderate throttle at 20+ mph. The car will be in 8th gear at 41mph at about 1200-1300 RPM.between 1250 and 1500 RPM, and anywhere from 30 mph up
I tried using high octane, didn't work.
yes...transmission replaced by dealershipHave you experienced the same issue?
Before you replace the tranny and dish out alot of money. Try replacing the fluid and filter using ONLY the OEM kind. DO NOT take it to a Jiffy Lube or whatever. These transmissions are very delicate and using the incorrect type of fluid can cause issuestransmission issue need a replacement :/
