Trunk release not working with fob

This used to work for me when the car is locked and my fob in pocket. i just press the trunk release and presto the trunk opens. For some reason it doesn't work anymore. Clues anyone before I take it in to have it looked at? Tried both fobs no go. I have a 2010 4.6 w Tech.

Does it beep when you lock it with the keyfob? Trunk switch might be bad.

There's a button in the glove compartment that is used to keep a parking valet from opening the trunk. Check to see if it has been pushed.

I have noticed this as well. From what I can tell, if the car is running the fob will not release the trunk as a safety feature. You don't want to accidentally bump or push the trunk release while the fob is in your pocket. I have found that the fob works to release the trunk when the car is not running. Check it out and see if this is the case...

Checked the button in the glove compartment and it is off. In either position the hood trunk release doesn't work. When using the fob to lock the car it does make sound. The driver and passenger side lock/unlock still works fine via the fob however the trunk release is not working. I guess will have dealer check it out.
