  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey, thanks for the post! These tires are at the top of my list when my Dunlops are due for replacement (or when I give up on them). I even now know what sipes are now. :)

Love my Serenitys but these seem even better!

I wish I had waited...I had the regular Serenities installed about 2 months ago. These are nice tires. The tire shop didn't get them balanced properly the first time though. (this always seems to happen to me.)

I previously had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus... they gripped the road very well..but caused the car to pull quite often. The dealer suggested a softer tire. I picked the Serenities. It did bother me that they carry the same name as an incontinence pad..

It definately made the ride more compliant. I do not feel as planted in the road in curves as the Michelins though. These are definately a different kind of car where ride softness and compliance are your priority.

Update: I now have about 8000 miles on my set of Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus tires, "W" rated. The tires continue to be quiet, smooth, and have excellent grip in rain and we have had several heavy rain days since I had the tires installed.

good to hear.
how much did you pay, installed?

Including new TPM valves for wheels, Lifetime rotate/balance, taxes, junk EPA/EPD state old tire disposal fees, and Alignment (the rear was a little out of spec), it was a few dollars over 1300.00.

Update: 30k+ miles on the set of Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus. Still smooth, road noise has increased a little, very even wear and the tires still handle excellent in dry or wet. I estimate that the tires will last 45k to 50k. I only got 18k on the oem Dumlops.

Update: 48k miles on the Serenity tires. Getting close to the wear bars now.

Thanks for the update... Wonder how these compare to the Continental ContiPros that came on my R Spec.

Had the Continentals on my Rspec for 20K miles. Good tire, but nothing spectacular. But, I'm a geezer who doesn't race around anymore. It has been 40 years since I raced sports cars (SCCA), but still remember most of the moves. Installed the Turanzas at 20K and they were on the car until 40K.
An important note is that there are two versions of Turanza Serenitiy Plus. The early version is not a low rolling resistant tire, and is the tire stocked by Costco. I shopped the tire at Costco; and was discouraged from buying it by Costco Tech who said they had a lot of complaints about short wear.
I subsequently bought the low rolling resistance Turanza Serenity Plus from TireRack, a completely different tire. They were much quieter than the Contis, which is to be expected with new tires. Handling seemed comparable driving up to about 7/10s of my ability on our mountain roads. Gas mileage was enhanced by maybe 1-1.5 mpg on my highway 40 mi. test drive. Tires seemed to be wearing quite well when I traded the car at 40K. My 2013 3.8 was delivered with low rolling resistant Michelins, which perform similarly, in my experience, to the Bridgestones.
I think the low rolling resistance tires are "the real deal." They do work. I'm not anal about gas mileage, but do a lot of long trips where range is important to me.

What's the diff between the normal Serenity Plus' and the low rolling resistance ones? How does one tell the diff?

The old Serenity was just named Bridgestone Turanza Serenity. In June 2012 the old was replaced with the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus. I know because I got one of the first sets of Serenity Plus produced before the tread rating was added to the mold on the sidewall. My tire dealer told me just yesterday that the old Serenity is no longer in production.

note the difference in tread pattern.

Oh, alright. I thought you were saying that they were both Serenity Plus models. Got ya. I just installed some Plus' on my wife's Jetta TDI. Good so far.

Interesting, thanks for the info. I guess I know my next set of tires. Maybe Costco sells the Plusses now that the older ones are out of production.

I was at our local Costco in NJ and confirmed they do have the Serenity plus in stock and not the old model.

Since I have dedicated snow tires on 17" rims, I'll wait for the spring to get new rubber installed on the 18".

Just got a quote from Discount Tire for these tires. Installed came to $995.00. I think it was about $200.00 per tire. Im considering just putting the OEM tire on the car if Im going to trade it in on a 2015. Kinda stupid to go out and buy Turanza's for $280.00 a tire.

If you're going to trade it in, I'd install the cheapest ones you can find.
