  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi genesis owners I made up my mind that I want to add more hp and torque my 2012 hyundai genesis sedan by purchasing a turbo or a supercharger kit I've been looking but have not had any luck. My questions to the community: Is there a turbo/supercharger kit for the 2012 hyundai genesis sedan that is a direct fit and if not is there a universal kit out there any where?

R u serious or u just yanking my chain?

As of now only a tune for 15-20 rwhp max(with some idiosyncrasies), 2ndary cat deletes, K&N/intake mod, and if you want real 50-150rwhp maybe basic NOS kit.

Just use a Nitrous Oxide System...…..PS. Better have a spare engine.

NOS is safe and has been available for 50 years. Jackasses that over load the systems to try to get max performance have problems they entirely own. Just like those using turbos/superchargers and go radical boosts without insuring engine can take it. Even the ECU mod can allow overrev to 7500 rpms, if desired. And some JA will probably try it, then like always, the failure is the equipment's fault , not their own.

Yes unfortunately if you want more power you get alil bit more with the R-spec but other than that you need to buy a different car for more everything. Our cars weren’t made to be upgraded the way we want it to be so enjoy the 333hp get a magnaflow exhaust for a nice sound and upgrade the exterior to make it look fast sitting still!!CEDF904F-A937-457B-88C0-DCE6CF39EFC2.webp

What are your wheel specs and are you static or air ride? I'm leaning more and more towards adding wheels and suspension to my R Spec.

That sucks.. I was really looking forward to upgrade the engine and take it to the drag strip. Car looks nice r u using springs or coilovers?

245/40 20x9 in the front and 275/35 20x10 in the rear with no spacers also I’m on air...Airforce bags and struts with Airlift 3P management
I'm thinking about dropping mines. How does it ride?

I’m on air so bags over struts (Airforce) with Airlift 3P management 88ADD08E-79D7-4AD6-9024-6B503AE2028B.webp

I can only speak on Air Ride and it rides nice! Your riding on Air....You can position the struts to have a softer rider or harder ride and I’m right in the middle and the car still has that “floating feel” and I drive aggressive when needed

Relatively even offset on the wheels? Guessing at like a +25 - +55 ?

For nitrous you need timing control, and without knowing what the timing curve looks like on the Genesis even a 50 shot might be a bad idea. The guys who just throw on some nitrous without any supporting mods are the 'jackasses' that give it a bad name.

Had it checked by a dyno shop which readout shows mixture at rpms. Said even 100 shot not a problem for 2012-2015 5.0s because factory ECU sets them very rich at higher rpms. Would need to recheck if you are running a tune by BRT because they get their few HP by leaning out mixture at top end and in some cases raises the max rpm to over 7000. Shop said lower end internals of 5.0 very strong & current injectors, etc., good enough for increase mixtures. All depends want you want and of course would not want to run on street until dynoed to insure all works as planned.

Fuel and ignition timing aren't the same thing. It running rich might just mean you can run a small dry shot but if the ignition timing is still too advanced it will cause damage, timing usually needs to be retarded during nitrous use.

Again, you dyno before street use, just like you would with any Turbo or supercharger system to make sure you are within safe engine parameters. The engine for the 4.6 & 5.0 is designed to run on 87 octane. You of course could run 93 with most any performance mods. And with that, it still runs rich. Anyway, dyno shop says 50-100 shot is a small shot. When you think about it, even a 50 RWHP adder would be more than any performance equipment available could provide as of today for the engine.
