  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Turning ESC off ...for real...With Video Proof!!

Just tried ...Awesome! v8 2011

Not sure if this has been asked yet, I only looked through the first 3 pages then skipped to latest. Does anyone know if this works on the Gen1 3.8L?
The ESC isn't quite as severe (slamming wise) in the V6 but it is still a pisser when one wants a quick accell. after a turn. And like the V8 I can push the button but it doesn't actually seem to do anything other than turn the light on.

Sadly the fuse pull & replace method doesn't work in the 2012 R spec 5.0, it disables speedometer, ABS and the ESC. Pretty scary driving around town with no speedometer, especially if you tend to be a little heavy footed, which most are when you know you have 429hp.

[2015 Genesis Sedan 5.0] – Does anyone know how to do the fuse pull for the second generation sedan? Using the button does practically nothing. Also, my fuse box has two fuses labeled esc, but they control other stuff. When I pull them I get the power I was looking for, but also my steering dies. Hard to turn wheel and does not return to center. Does anyone know how to successfully disable TC in the 2nd gen sedan?

I may have found a way to turn ESC OFF completely WITHOUT loosing GPS, speedometer, etc... I say that because today I did it.:p

The only thing I noticed was the cruise control did not work anymore and I could NOT put the ESC back on. (It always stays OFF) I had to shut the car down and restart it for it to become normal again.

I'm not going to write how I did it unless one of the mods tells me it's ok.
I did doughnuts today for the 1st time.

This V8 is scary!!!

PINGGOLF, write to me please.
Did the cruise control work again after shutting the car off and then back on ?
