  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

hey everyone, so my dad told me if i made a graduation speech at my school (which i did: salutatorian :] ) i could get a new car right (i currently drive a 2010 mustang...too slow for me) i was gonna decide on genesis 380 track, but the problem is i got into a MAJOR inferiority complex with the STI >_> (i know you cant compare the 2 at all ex: 4wd vs rwd turbo vs NA etc etc. but still just wondering from all your experiences wit ha v6 gen coupe, was it worth it?

oh right i forgot to add that i live in so cal (if that really makes a diff) and i have to make my choice before the end of this month >_< july 4 sales ftw

hey when i went to the ark performance meetup i was talking with the owner of the shop about the v6 block and rods. he said that to modd it, it will take some reinforcement of the block around the bearings. he said the 4 cyl is great for modd. so if your planning on throwin some green into your ride get the 2.0.

big props for your accomplishment!

now the only problem with that is i do plan to mod the car but i wont be for good year or two so by then i'm assuming parts for the v6 GC should be out by then right? i'd HATE to drive around a 7 second car for a year :/ (no offense to any of the 200 turbo people D:)

Hey man im buying a new car as well :)
btw i just graduated as well and i currently am making the same decision.
And might i throw this out there a good point i believe that you should consider im getting the premium 2.0T becuz by the time a year goes by warrnety will be up anyways so wont feel bad upgrading it to make it faster cuz the warrenty will already be done with if you feel where im coming from.

Btw congrats on the accomplishment :D
