  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Ultimate genesis owners, need your guidance/input

Mine made me kinda carsick at first... but lowering the height & dimming it made it work for me. Use it all the time now - I find the NAV display especially useful.
Exactly! When I do long night time drives I turn off all interior lights a
Yup, my rain sensing wipers and adaptive cruise work great. Adaptive cruise just takes a little stress out of highway driving and over a long drive, that reduced stress adds up. And my LKAS is not the best either.
Ditto markymark! However I am happy with the lane keep assist as long as it keeps me out of the roadside ditch. Out here in South Dakota and Nebraska some of these roads have some deep ditches as soon as you leave the bbn pavement. I like how it will bring the car right back off the line if you lose focus or if you are doing something that you shouldn't be doing while behind the wheel.

The HUD is the best. I thought at first I would never use it, now when I drive one of my other vehicles that does not have HUD I am kind of lost !

Wondering if any non ultimate genesis owners use a external HUD .
What is a good after market HUD . Heard good reviews of the hudway but its a bit costly.

i guess i got lucky on my rain sensing wipers because they are damn near magic. literally never had to adjust them so far and they are right on target for how hard its raining. love the blind spot on the heads up as well as the other info there. i agree with the above person that the LKAS is sometimes a bit wonky and other times a bit too aggressive. i dont use it on short trips, only on long highway cruises. the best part about the car to me is the cruise control. i love being able to let it come to a full stop in stop and go traffic and then resume with the click of the button to start accelerating again.
^ Ditto.

Can't help you out ! I did not know that aftermarket ones were available. My advice would be wait to find a car that already has it from factory. The Genesis HUD is Awesome!

I've found that the LKAS doesn't intervene that much for me going straight (I'm suspicious by nature & generally keep my hands on the wheel anyway)... my 5.0 tracks pretty straight on it's own. Seems to work well on gentle curves.

The cruise works great - I just wish that you could tighten the interval up just a little more, as even on it's closest setting it leaves plenty of room for jackasses to cut in front of you...

Auto Hold is the bomb though.

I am in a rental car right now and one of the things I miss most is that Auto Hold!

That and my Ultimate Lexicon audio system. I just picked up a copy of John Coltrane's Blue Train album on DVD. Sublime audio thrill for me.

LKAS in my 2015 is a joke...drives as well as my drunken uncle.
Yup... but I also decided to stop expecting it to drive my car, and now just leave it on. I figure if it keeps me in my lane just once when I wouldn't have on my own, it's done it's job.

I leave my LKAS off unless I'm on a long highway drive. For me (and mine is an AWD), I find the steering feels is much improved with it switched off.
