As far as the Genesis is concerned, what could an Ultra High Performance Tire do that a Grand Touring Tire could not do. Be specific rather than just say "Better Handling".

Mine (2014 5.0) came with the ContiProContacts. After 12k miles, they were shot. Replaced with Nexen N'Fera SU1s, quieter, more responsive and much better tread wear rating. Smooth on the hwy and grip better than the continentals and cheaper!

Would a decent pair of All Weather tires really change the feel of the car?

I'm looking at buying a used 2013 R-Spec which is coming with performance tires....I love to rack up miles in my cars sooo that's definitely something that'll need to be swapped.

My stock Contis lasted for 40,000 miles on my '12 R-Spec...they got the job done. I replaced them with Bridgestone Pole Postions and I love them so far.

I don't think they're any louder than the all season Contis, fuel economy is the same, they ride better to me because of the slightly taller sidewall that the stock (Hyundai size) Pole Positions come with plus there's much more road feel, grip and refinement.

According to Tire Rack these tires are for and SUV, Pickup or Crossover. I'd look at what Tire Rack has, and their reviews on proper tires for your Genesis.

Not the kind of tire for a sedan. It is also only h rated. V or W rated is what should be on the Genesis.

Michelin Premier is not available in the size for the Genesis. At least not 235/50/18.
But the Premier A/S is a great tire.

Had the Michelin Premier A/S on a Sonata and they were great. When I upgraded to the Genesis they were not available in that size. However, bought a set of the Pirelli P7 Plus. Best riding tire ever. Super quite and highly rated on Tire Track.

^ I second that experience with the Pirelli P7. I went for the Michelin AS3 (W speed rated) first but found them WAY noisy and "nervous" at non highway speed. On the highway the Michelin is a very nice riding tire.

+1...... The Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus is the Best Tire I have ever found! Smooth Running, Quiet and Great in the Snow. If you are looking for a Great All Season Tire, this one is it !! --- Here are the rankings on Tire Rack and the reviewers confirm.

That tire would be a 'no go' for my 14 R-Spec as they don't make it in a 19 inch size.
