I was under the hood today removing the flying H from the intake and adding the Wings logo. While the wings didn't completely cover the oval left after removing the H, it still looks OK and better than the H. Removal and installation took 15 minutes, total and went just like others here have described it.
While under the hood I noticed a couple of things, minor, really, but disappointing.
First, there's no light! A car in this price range should have an underhood light. How much could it add to the cost?
Secondly, where the strut towers would bolt up, there's just holes. Again, what would it cost to put a couple of grommets in there?
Looking into those holes I could see a little of the front suspension without having to remove those big belly pans. It looked like the struts have been replaced, on the Ultimate 5.0, with coil overs with separate fluid reservoirs.
I've looked around the web and haven't been able to find any information describing this suspension. Does anyone have a good description of what is going on there? Sway bar sizes, spring rates, shocks, control arm materials, that sort of thing?
