  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

include secondary repair procedure.

So you have been back to the dealer twice since mid January 2011 when the new TSB was issued and the new TSB service did not fix your tilt steering wheel problem?

That is correct and 5 times in total. They know it is a problem but don't know how to fix it. Obviously the folks in Korea are less than helpful at this point in time.

They, Hyundai Motor America, are surprised that the work-around posted by MikeC can temporarily correct the problem for a limited time. They also don't understand that brand new vehicles on their lot have restricted movement of the tilt function. They compared my car to two others which did not have full range.

Hope that gives you some more information.

Thanks, I have had to reset mine twice, however after the information you have given I think I will wait until next fall before taking mine in to have the tilt steering wheel fixed(if they do have a true fix by then). The reset is so easy that I would prefer do it than have the dash taken apart and still have the problem, so I will wait a while.

Worked for me as well.

I have an appointment with the dealer on Thursday. Can't wait to show them this fix...
