I have a 2009 Genesis V6
Hey so I've had my car for a few years, it was my mom's old one and im turning 20 soon, so the old features aren't really exciting to me anymore. I think im going to attempt to remove the disc area and maybe revamp the whole radio and try putting in those touch screen radios?
I was just wondering if anyone has done this or has any knowledge on it? I've seen the basic videos on YouTube to help take everything off but I feel like the whole dash is ugly with all that since I don't use any of it. Anything would be appreciated!

Any time you get into removing stock radios and replacing it with after market stuff, you're going to run into issues... it's a lot more complicated these days. In older cars it was not hard at all - I'm an old fart, and in my 70's and 80's cars, you just removed the old stock radio and slipped in a new Pioneer, Clarion, or Jensen radio, hooked up the power, antenna, and speakers, and you're done.

You should go to a car stereo performance shop and see what they think. You might not like the options, but it is what it is. Good luck.

Automatic Volume Control

I have a 2012 Gen Sedan, my radio volume always adjust itself when I'm driving. If I have the volume high, when coming to a stop it gets low. Also If I have the volume high, once I start driving it adjust itself louder. Is there anyway options on turning that off so I can have complete control...
