  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

400 miles is not too far. You can go with a friend or relative and try to make a trade in deal. If it doesn’t work both can drive back.
I'd be up for a trip like that. It would be a nice way to play with my brand new car. Only problem is if the dealer is not on the up and up and does not try to screw you once he has you there.

I have worked with remote dealers in the past. Insist on them providing you with a signed contract prior to journeying to the dealer. You then have a binding document.

Curious if anyone has done this...or knows of the cost involved.

If I were to purchase a G70 a few hundred miles away (400 miles tops)...how expensive is it to get the car shipped to me?

^ i had my old G37S shipped from Baltimore to Blaine (WA) which is ~3000 miles. cost was $1250 CAD (years ago), so ~$1200 USD at the time. this was on a transport truck.

and no, i don't live in Blaine WA - who does? it was just the closest border town so i could import the car over the line to Canada.

Well...was pretty close to jumping on a plane to Atlanta. Or...doing a deal remotely and getting a car shipped.

It was the EXACT car I wanted. 3.3T AWD Sport in Siberian Ice !!!! But...the bummer...had red stitching. Deal breaker. They got it if anyone wants it. MSRP. And...tint, treatment and mats don't have to be part of the deal if you get on it quick enough. If you own a competitor car (Audi, BMW, etc)...you'll get $1k off from Genesis Corporate.

Man does that suck.

Have you seen the red seats in person? I originally wanted the gray stitching but changed my mind after seeing it in person. Although it does depend on the exterior color imo as well. I would have to see it against the siberian ice to decide.

I saw them in Toronto on the M.Blue. It was "ok". But for SI, Silver or white...no way...for me anyway.

Next time let me know. I’d be happy to drive it up for you.

Alexandria got another shipment in. One of them is Siberian Ice, RWD not AWD, and it is black interior with red stitching also. Should would be nice for you to have a build on the Genesis web site to determine if they are using red stitching in all like this.

On a sie note they did get in a G80 Sport in Polar Ice so at least I know for sure it will be available for 2019. Now to have one close enough to see to determine if the wife and I like it. ;)

I confirmed with Mr. Smith...and the brochure states it as well.

Good. Maybe it is just this first batch they are releasing that has it exclusively and the others will start flowing in.

Red Sport in NJ has the light gray stitching :)

Glad you saw in person. I was sure I would hate the red stiching and like the gray stitching, but saw both at the car show and I was surprised to like the red. The pure back Nappas on the Prestige look great. If you can deal with the shinier chrome and don’t need the adapative suspension, maybe the pure black is an option.

No...I want the sport. I like the look...love the rims...and love the colored stitching (gray).

So I wait. I was second guessing on the red stitching...but I cannot compromise just because I lack patience :) Car ain't cheap...so need to get what your heart wants.

You're absolutely spot on. I want the 3.3T Sport, Mallorca Blue, Gray-stitched interior or bust. I'll take no substitutes - I want to get EXACTLY what I want

Great combo. Good news. That combo exists. Here it is, right here at the OC Auto Show. As usual the black seats look gray in my photo, as in most. The exterior also looks better than in the photo.

Looks excellent!!! I love the understated gray interior. *Sigh* I wish I wasn't such a huge sucker for dark chrome on blue.

Are they doing test drives? I’ll be there later today.
