  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

US dealers who actually have the G70 available for sale.

Quick update here in AZ: Due to work I missed a call from the North Scottsdale dealer who said their GM was getting his allocation picked today and they were calling folks who were interested in a specific vehicle. I'm finally starting to get excited.

Thanks for the update, I will keep an eye out for when their cars show up online and update the list. May also have to take a road trip to AZ since it may be quite awhile until Colorado gets them.

Sorry, I cannot.
Sorry man...that is IDIOTIC. You with us...or the dealer that makes a crap ton of money?

Thought we were all here to help each other? Why even f’ing post here and brag about it?

Ahhh...poor dealer...feel so bad for em. Pathetic.

I can’t speak for LTH, but I do understand his reasoning. I don’t know the price of my wife’s Design which comes in (hopefully) this week, but I do know that we won’t be paying MSRP, nor getting screwed on a trade. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise us to only pay invoice or below. Why? Because this will be our 5th Genesis in the last 10 years, with 3 VW’s before that, all from the same dealer. So 16 years as a customer counts for something, and yields benefits that a stranger off the street may not receive. That said, I will ask them if it’s ok to post the price here. If they say no I’ll respect that too.

For the record:
2009 Genesis
2011 Equus
2014 Equus
2017 G80
2019 G70 Design

Submitted respectfully...

Also for the record:

2002 XG350
2007 Azera
2011 Genesis
2015 Equus
2017 G90
2019 G70

I don’t see this particular dealer as the enemy. Others, maybe, but not this one.

I do not understand the reasoning. First off...I am not debating being loyal to a brand or even a dealer. I think it's great that the both of you are extremely happy with your purchases, etc...and that the dealer treats you great. I sure hope that my experience with the G70 will lead me down the same path. I was that way with Audi...and now taking a chance and jumping ship. I don't think I will have any regrets from what I can tell.

Now...back to this ridiculous secrecy. You are purchasing a product...that we are all interested in. It makes no difference if you are buying a lawn mower or a washer. Folks share prices...where they got them...and every one hunts for the best deal. Cars are no exception. People share info daily on various websites (forums, etc).

You are a customer that paid a fuckload of money on a vehicle. You do not owe them any loyalty...they owe you for coming back and being a dedicated customer. They need to know that you could leave at any moment.

Nobody is asking you for your income level...your age...or anything personal. It's a product that you bought at the end of the day.

Most of us are anonymous on here. To add...most sales people don't know what a Genesis G70 is...let alone trolling forums looking for people that share info. Gimme a break.

So one can share all the info they want...the dealer can find out...and at the end of the day...they will still want your business. Hell...even if you do advertise the cost...if it is so attractive it will draw more people to their dealership.

So...end of rant. Don't treat this crap like some high almighty BS. Just feel good that you may help a fellow consumer that is spending a ton of money on a purchase.

But you won't feel good...you can just brag away.

I understand your frustration but cars are different with our crazy system. When I go to Home Depot to buy a washer or a mower (which I do), I’ve never been involved in a price negotiation or trade-in discussion. Cars are different. I’m not saying the current dealer arrangement is good, I’m saying it’s what we’ve got and it can be to our benefit to pay attention to how it works.

Actually you are wrong. There is negotiations to be had. They can honor competitor's coupons...price matching...last item...perhaps a tiny scratch, etc, etc. Some shops take your old mower, etc, etc. Not going to get into that...we are talking the G70 here.

I know how dealers work. Again...you are putting purchasing a vehicle on a high pedestal...in favor of the dealer.

The last we heard there were no dealers licensed in Illinois, have you received confirmation that the state approved their license and cars are being shipped to them?

yeah i have to agree with @Beefer here. i think its great you are loyal to that dealer but sharing the price and deal you got on your G70 with others who are looking to get the same product is not something that should be held at most secrecy. and i truly don't see your logic in doing so. if anything you'll be helping that dealer out by showing how much there willing to move the product and provide good service. but that's just me, coming from someone who sold cars for 5 years with a brand that probably has some of the most loyal customers.

All confirmed. There are 2 so far, out of a likely 14.
The Genesis configurator site even directs you to this dealer (Pugi/Genesis of Downers Grove), even though the local site shows no ‘19 inventory. Maybe because they are due for delivery between Thursday and Monday? FWIW, the dealer has NO control of their website, all locals are run by Genesis.

Well, maybe I’m wrong but I have a scarce G70 that I got at a very good price from a dealer that treated me very well and who I know has an excellent service operation. I can live with that.

The "Contact Us" page on genesisusa website.

I filled out the form asking for RI dealers but there isn't any right now so they gave me MA dealers.

Not sure why you are even posting in an open forum then...seems rather pointless. I cannot imagine what risk there would be if you shared the details about your deal as you w
Sorry, I cannot.

I am calling BS on this. There is absolutely no consequence of sharing this information...I can only think of one reason why you will not. But it makes me wonder why you posted anything about it at all.
