You can update your software and map here: MnSoft | Hyundai Map Update (CAN)I'm in Canada. Can you clarify how you obtained this update? I've never updated my navigation in 2015 Genesis sedan.
I went to the Hyundai dealership, and they told me that this is Apple Carplay or Android Auto software issue. Nothing to do with their software. Only hope i have now is this might get fixed with new updates.
Well... Got the update and crash... Now here's something interesting... I have vpn on my phone and I would get a crash for about a couple of hoursI went to the Hyundai dealership, and they told me that this is Apple Carplay or Android Auto software issue. Nothing to do with their software. Only hope i have now is this might get fixed with new updates.
What i am experiencing with my USB connection is very strange, let me explain: Last week i have installed new software updated from GPS map Canada website which also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. My USB Cable was working just fine, but after the update when i am using apple car play in my car for a map or music, it disconnects automatically and then i had to disconnect the cable and put it back in and it shows up again. It is very annoying. I tried 4 different cable still same thing is happening.
From this i thought it might be the USB Slot not the cable, what i observed is, even after Apple CarPlay disconnects my phone keep 'charging', if there was anything wrong with USB port, i believe charging would stop too. And, i also tried USB stick with music on it on my car and it runs totally fine without any disconnection while playing music.
If anyone is experience same issue or know what is going on here that would be a great help.
Thanks,
Dhaval
I was mistaken... it seemed to be working but ultimately failed. Sorry.I may have figured this out. I've tested once (about 30 minutes).
Turn off your Bluetooth (or unpair it from the car)! I just turn mine off when I plug in the USB, so I have the option to use BT if I want to leave my phone in my pocket (and not use Carplay).
It appears that the Bluetooth connecting to the car's console is disconnecting or superceding the USB connection. This seems to happen randomly.

YES!!! I have a 2019 G70 3.3T. The dealer has replaced the entire head unit and wiring harness 2 times and I still have the same problem!! Apple CarPlay will not show up at times, the screen goes blank sometimes, the music has static, Apple CarPlay is showing that the music is playing but there is no sound!! I actually think it may also be an "Apple" problem. I hope when Apple comes out with the next update it will take care of the problem. What i am experiencing with my USB connection is very strange, let me explain: Last week i have installed new software updated from GPS map Canada website which also includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Even if the cable works on other car(s), Genesis will tell you to use an original Apple cable, just FYI. I have intermittent connection issues. Yours sound more like a problem with a phone setting... e.g. using car play when locked.I wanted to try carplay (for the first time, so the car was never added to the phone), and it does not seem to work at all.
I did update the car's software/map, I dont know if its possible to roll back to an older version to test.
So what happens is; the notification will pop on the car's screen for a split second and disappear, it keeps repeating every few seconds and I cant even get to the next step of carplay setup on the car.
Cable works fine, as I'm able to connect the same phone/same cable to my wife's kona.
