Hi all,
I though I would share a video showing the tire noise on my used Michelin tires after 16k miles of having them on the car and rotating them every 5k miles. I just put on new Pirelli P7 tires on and was amazed how soft, comfortable and quiet my car got again. I am hoping that these will stay quiet much longer than the Michelins. Below is the video from the inside of the cabin driving with Michelins on and then Pirellis:
The best part of it is, I got these tires for $674 (including tax) due to Pep Boys' glitch in the system. They normally run these tires for approx $210 a tire.
I placed an order through Pep Boys and they received tires with the wrong size (smaller, which would explain the low price). However, the service adviser said that he will custom order the right size and still charge me the original, cheap price. Nice! It was $151 per tire vs $197 on tire rack. I did the alignment for which I paid $90 and the funny thing is that they forgot to charge me $89 for mounting and balancing the tires... Wow! However, I will go back to the shop and give the adviser a good tip for his help. If you are due for new tires, go to Pep Boys now and take advantage of their glitch
