  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Genesis v-8 tech pkg 38411.00 plus doc. Chicagoland area.

Just to be clear, are you saying that you purchased a V8 Tech for that price?

One heck of a deal because dealer cost on that model is $38,952.00 less an additional $779.00 hold back.

That's less than I paid for my V6-Tech!

Welcome aboard, Mike! Thank you for signing up! So tell us - is that what you paid? Or is that what the vehicle is being sold for?

That is a better price then I was quoted through USAA I was quoted $38,561 with Tech Package.

With a price that low and $500 for Discover Genesis and another $500 for Military I hope to be paying $37,561 when the V8's come in.

$39,500 w/tech package, plus another $299 title/documentation fees.

no coupons, or buying services (ie. costco/USAA/etc...)

I got a cheaper quote from the Los Angeles area then I did in San Diego, so area is a big factor and I would suggest trying zip codes that you are willing to drive to for a better price.

The real question is...... are there any actual V8s available for purchase AND delivery today? Otherwise these prices are all speculation and/or dealer marketing ploys.

I have money down on a car at the agreed price stated above. no ploys.

I did try USAA but all they could do for me was a 'target' price of just over $40k, so I went out on my own.

That is a great price- But mine is BETTER.

I am considering as an option the V8 Tech Package also but my price is just a few ben franklins better.

In the Los Angeles Area $41,800.00 OTD- Sales Price approx. $38,220.00
MSRP including CT & WL is $42,150.00

And this is before any rebates I might get- for example the $500 Genesis Reward that I just recently recieved last week.

And I also will get FREE- CT (Cargo Tray) and WL (Wheel Locks)

Free Pick Up and Return of car for warranty and/or regular service work via Flat Bed.

I have not purchased yet- still deciding- if I want to risk getting a Hyundai.

But again- quotes that I received from three Los Angeles Hyundai Dealers are:

$39,983.00 OTD- V6 Tech Package
$41,800.00 OTD- V8 Tech Package

Still thinking on getting another Lexus though.

Awesome prices, what LA dealer if I may ask and who was the sales person?

If you live in San Diego area- I would just buy it there- excluding my freebies- your deal is a good one.

But if you want to drive on down to LA Area- let me know.

Sorry, but for us "slow" people out here in the midwest, does your OTD (out-the-door) price include sales tax? I got a quote of $41K, delivered, on my first try on a V8 with the Tech package. I came back with a $39,350 offer; they promised to get back with me today.

it shouldn't because we can't compare apples to apples due to tax differences....

Hello and welcome to the boards OneShot. :welcome:

One Shot...

OTD for the unknown buyers ... means what it says... you pay that price and walk out the door... so to answer your question... YES YES YES

I believe our sales tax in the Los Angeles Area are amongst the highest... 8.5% for me in sales tax

So I could just imagine how I could even do better in your neck of the woods
