Got word from my local dealer that they have a black V8 Tech with tan interior on the lot. I'm going to check it out.

They will be cocky actually, but they won't sell over sticker. They want sticker for it though. There is a person I talked to that seems like an ok guy. Just send me a personal message if you want the guy's name and more details.

if your car has that many miles- if i had the car and wanted to buy another and your current car had no major probs- i would wait till it hit 300K miles then decide if I wanted
to get rid of it and buy a new one- since in the back of my mind- i would be saying- would it of made it to 300K

Thanks for the Encouragement Gents (and Ladies).

I never thought I'd get fired up about a Hyundai, but when the Genesis commercials came out, I started following the car. Went to the Ride and Drive event and I was sold. I like V8 RWD, so I was looking at the following (all used) M45, LS460s (still out of price range), A8L, W211 E Class, etc. I like the Genesis a whole lot, but I'm thinking a few little things are missing. i.e. Direct injection, Passenger cooled seat, Trunk Closer, etc. So it may be better to wait to 2010?

Redrocks, Sure, I'm happy to share the info....Its a 1987 Mercedes Benz 300SDL.

It's served me well, sans car payment and has never left me stranded. Gets 23 MPG in 100% city driving and 27 on the highway. I think if I got the Genesis, I wouldn't sell this car. It's been a great vehicle.

Here's a picture of the car on the way to a Mercedes Benz Club of America get together in July of this year....I think she still looks ok for 22 years old.

i love people that answer 1-800 numbers. i called HMC today to ask why no V8s in the north east. the guy that answered actually told me that V8s and COUPEs were scheduled to hit the ground last week of september, 1st week october. he then asked me if i had ordered a coupe......

must have been too early in the am for the folks at HMC........
