  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

VIP Genesis test drive event

I may drive up to Chicago in Oct from St Louis in the Genesis for the event. I wonder if I get anything special for showing up in the V6 version of the car they are testing?

Any thoughts?
Bring proof that you own the car. These morons are going to insist that you can't possibly own one yet.

Even the Professional Driver that accompanied me said the 6 is more nimble and fun than the 8. Don't forget 300 pound difference between the two.

On a side note BOTH Hyundai's BLEW AWAY the Mercedes E500 and the Cadillac CTS.

IS there a difference between the 6 and 8 with the power steering?

The 8 has electro-hydralic (sp) where the 6 does not?

Difference in the hydrualic and non?

$500 Certificate

Does anyone know how long the $500 certificate is valid? I ahve 12 months to go on my current lease so I would be looking to purchase another car till next June.

What $500 certificate? Where do you get one?

My last 3 cars have been Hyundais. Sonata, XG350L and a Azera.

I deserve a $1500 certificate.:)

I did the event again in Philly today(did DC last weekdend), and drove the v8 and the v6 both. Didn't notice too much in terms of the steering between the two (both handled like true champs!), but when we went over the rumble packs, the feel of going over them was better (smoother) in the v6 vs the v8. And also saw that the v8 gets chrome rims (say a picture on the virtual window they have setup); at the event they have these BMW looking rims, that look good too. Have to go to the movies, will add more later.

Dealer told me the electro-hydraulic steering on the v8 was due to the 300 lb difference in engine weight.
