  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got these two bulbs along with the H7 for the high beam. Before I go any further the H7 bulbs will not work as they need an extra tab to be secure in the housing.

Initially I was very pleased with the result. The H8 (850 lumens) bulb popped right with no issues. Though the dust/water cap pushed up again the H11 (2800 lumens) bulb 2 prong connector, I was able to get them on. The light was a nice crisp white and the output was fantastic. A definite upgrade from the Sylvania zXe bulbs I was running. After having them on a couple of days I thought the light output wasn't that great but I kind of shrugged it off. It wasn't until I was driving this morning that I noticed the light output shift almost as if one of the bulbs went out. When I arrived at my destination I verified they were all on. I then turned my lights off, and then on again and they were much brighter. I don't know if the bulbs get too hot or what but initially the light is HID quality, but then shift to the light output of a halogen. Being that these bulbs are $150 for the H11 I can't recommend them as they seem fickle. The H8 bulbs are also $60 but I think the money you pay for what you get is acceptable. Here are pictures I took to show the difference.

Here is a side by side picture of initial turn on and prolonged use of about 30 min. The brighter being initial turn on.

Oh wow. Thank you for the review! That is totally not acceptable for me as I run 4+ hours of headlights on the weekends. Def need to stick with HID lol

Yeah I will definitely just have to buy the Xenon headlight or more importantly the Prada headlight. Now if someone could just figure out the wiring for the latter.

Well if they do melt anything it's all the more reason to get a new set of Xenon or Prada headlights.
