  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Wait for the 2012 Genesis to be defined?

Sorry Cheez- my 3.8 hasn't had any problem accelerating from highway on ramps to 80 in a flash. Not sure I want to chase a Mercedes,Corvette ZR1 to double digit numbers. Again, the V6 makes it to 100+ just fine. Plus it is more nimble. 28K on the odometer and not once did I say I could've had a V8! Hey Cheez Wiz- your tag says you don't even have a Genesis!
Cheez Man seems to have a lot to say about the Genesis for somebody who doesn't drive one...

If you feel your manhood threatened by the fact that an AMG Mercedes has more horsepower than you, then I suggest you find a way to love yourself more and derive less of your self worth from the sheetmetal that moves you.

No need to apologize. I'm cool. I'm talking about 60~ 125 realistically, as I do frequent 120+mph sprint on ramps when I owned an Acura TL 6-spd manual and Mazdaspeed 3. Of course you can get to 100+ just fine but how soon? It maybe fast for you but it may not be fast enough for me... The V8 version Genesis Sedan will suit. As for being nimble on the V6 version I don't disagree... I guess you are not into speed much. That's okay.

I did a lot of reading about the Genesis Sedan before even it was released. I studied the specs including gear ratios. Not owning one doesn't mean the person will not know anything about the car.. As a matter of fact I test drove one not long ago too, the 2010 model 4.6. I mentioned that in the thread before. I still have the following cars in mind and hoping to get one of them in about a month or so:

- BMW 135i (lease)
- BMW 335i (lease)
- Genesis Sedan 4.6 Tech pkg.
- NA2 Acura NSX with low miles

I dunno now..

For 2011 a V6 seems ok if you don't plan on getting any options...If you start loading up a V6, it gets to a price that's so close to a 4.6, it's probably a better deal to go with the 4.6--now that so much has become standard.
