  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey all,

So I go into the local Hyundai dealership up here in North Bay, Ontario to test drive a V6 Tucson. Take the SUV out, romp around a bit...felt nice. So we bring it back and the girlfriend starts talking to the sales rep and asks if we can take out "the car with the wavy side thingies"...I had no idea what she was talking about but the dealer did. Sure enough..2.0T Genesis coupe. So we take it out...and yeah...I don't want the Tucson anymore.

SO!! we had her draw up the numbers on both the 2009 tucson and the 2010 Genesis..sure enough the Genesis was cheaper. SO!!! I think I will be getting me one of those.

The model she priced out was the 2.0T base model with the Automatic Tranny. The features in this car make me think that hyundai realizes that alot of people live up north and want to drive their cars all year round reguardless of crap weather. Wiper deicers, seat warmers, traction control, electronic stabilization, and RWD for extra fun. So I think this will be a good replacement to an old tired ford focus that is well on its way to the wreckers.

Unfortunately...they have to order the car...so I am on a waiting list. She told me 6-10weeks. I am just gonna go out on a limb here and say that I am sure the Genesis will win pony car of the year with waiting lists like these.

Anywho. Just thought I would pop in and let you all know that I will be joining the Genesis group. Keep those turbo's spooling and remember...redline for a good time!.

congrats! jsut remember to pick up a set of snow tires. it's really a must for the winter. all seasons simply don't cut it on a rwd car.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
if it has seat warmers, its not a base and if it takes 6-10 weeks, thats ridiculous especially for any of them not nicknamed "track". you should be able to get it quicker man. i know our dealership doesnt need that kind of time for a non-track model. just f.y.i..

Sounds good, Thraxxx! Keep us posted!
