  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Dynojet Research is looking for a test subject car here in Las Vegas. We are looking for a 3.8L Genesis to test fit the CMD Lite product to. Much like the CMD, it is a fuel tuner, but does not have the boost control portion of the CMD onboard.

Our test subject will get a free unit for testing (when available) and free dyno tuning. We would prefer a stock or very near stock car.

If interested, please contact Keith at 702-639-1127 or klock@dynojet.com

Damn wish I was back home I could drive to vegas for a few how ever long to do that lol:(

Well, I see you are on all the Genesis boards...push some of your fellow board members to bring us a car so we can get a product developed! :)

Well I see that you don't specify that you are only looking for a coupe, but most likely you are. If you are open for testing on a sedan I have a stock 3.8L v6 sedan with all available options. If this is a possibility for you, please let me know with a reply here and I will contact you via your cell or email that you provided.

~Ryan (AKA CPT D)

We would be interseted in seeing a sedan as well. At some point, we can see if there are any differences, but either way, we'd like to be able to offer a product for both. Please contact me at your earliest convenience.

hey I had to head back to NY...father had a stroke and I'm just returning. I just need to know the following:

  • How long you will need the vehicle once I drop it off
  • Where is the location that the work will be done
  • what is the scope of work to be done to the car
  • what exactly are you installing and what are the benefits of the tuner
  • How much would it normally cost me to get the tuner and Dyno tuning

Okay.that is about it. Please post the answers as soon as you have a chance and I will respond to any questions you may have and will also coordinate the delivery of my vehicle is all works out.

    Thanks,
    CPT D.

For the initial look-see, we just need to look at the connectors on the car, take some pictures and do a wiring pin-out. The first time in will likely only take an hour or two. You can wait in our waiting room or the Cannery hotel is right across the street.

Our facility is in North Las Vegas, at Craig Rd and Losee, across from the Cannery. At this point, we will not be leaving anything on the car. We need to first make sure we can get the connectors to fit the car. Once our purchasing department has verified that we can get connectors, or determined that we will have to mold them, then we can move forward with an engineering prototype that should work on the car. At that point, we would need to get the car back in to try it on.

Normally, assuming the box I have in my head works on your car, it would sell in the mid $300 range. Tuning from there could run anywhere from $150-$500.

All of the work we wish to do is non-intrusive, so your warranty will be unaffected. Likely, you and everyone else won't be able to tell we had touched it until the prototype unit is available and installed.

Dyno,

Do you still need the vehicle? I may be able to call some of our
Vegas dealers and find one for you.

Hello Susanne, yes, we are still working to find a local 3.8l that we can look at/work with to develop an air/fuel tuner. We will be at SEMA as well, booth#20735 in the Performance and racing section, Central Hall.

Ok, Let me call some of my dealers in Vegas for you.
I am the queen of finding test cars for NAV-TV.
I am on the hunt for a veracruz right now to develop
back up cam.

I'm good for this weekend if you are available and still need the car. However, I didn't catch how long you will need my car to do the main scope of work. I see it will be a few hours for the initial prep and assessment, but how long for the main work?

Thanks

Thanks Susanne!

Genetics3 - we need to look at the car for a few hours first, then take our findings to engineering before we can proceed. The "main work" will probably be weeks to months down the road. We are at the SEMA show this week though. Our normal hours are M-F, 8-5.
