I have been reading this thread and you are amazing. As a 50yr old, I will tell you this, learn to be responsible for your actions, as no one, repeat no one will have any sympathy for the situation you have described. I have a Amg C55 that sits lower than a Genesis coupe as well as an older 911 both will scrape a parking curb anytime and will most likely recieve damage for it.
Others have tried to describe that it isnt a design flaw or any other flaw, if you cannot operate the vehicle without damaging it, then drive something else.
This car is a sports car, it sits low and that is the end of the story. If you think Hyundai or any other mfg is going to design and install the items you want, be prepared to pay more for the car than you are able. I bought the car because I liked its shape, and the warranty didnt hurt either, I knew it was low when I purchased it, and it will ride another 1.5 inches lower once the new suspension is installed. And I still wont hit the parking curbs.
Many of you forget that driving is a PRIVILEGE, not a right. If you cannot grasp the skills of parking the car without damaging it then find a different ride..or better yet, maybe public transportation should be in your future. In all seriousness, you are the one here with the issue, these posters arent ganging up and defending hyundai, this would be the same reaction you would recieve at any other forum where these cars are present, be they Nissan 370z, Mercedes AMG's, Porsche's, RX8's, Corvette's, and the Italian car guys would just ignore you as the petulant one you are being.
If you do own the car, then learn to drive it without destroying it, and if you dont own one, stop being an ASS about a non issue to everyone else.
Regarding your line of.."I will tell you this, learn to be responsible for your actions, as no one, repeat no one will have any sympathy for the situation you have described
