  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Water Passenger Floor

The way I solved the problem was to get a really powerful vacuum for autos - made by Armor/All

I vacuum the air intakes like crazy in spring and summer when most of the junk comes down, and have never had the issue recur.

I have the same problem with my 2013 Genny, brought it back to dealership & they cleared out the clog & put in new filter, 6 months later, problem solved. This is my 4th Genny, 1st time ever for this problem.

I think all cars have the problem and have had it for decades.

A little re-design would seem to be in order.

Have you had the cowl cover replaced under the following TSB? It mentions improper seal may allow water intrusion into the cabin:

I just had the cowl work done:

The top cowl cover - which spans the width of the car - was removed, wiped down, and put back.

Apparently, what is actually replaced is a "lower piece" referred to on my work order as a "cowl lower duct" - perhaps a collection tray.

And, for what it's worth, the service mgr. insisted it was a full fledged recall.
