Weak front footwell lights

The front footwell lights are almost useless. The lights themselves appear to be LEDs, but they are covered with an opaque cover, which greatly reduces lighting. The cover itself is held by two plastic clips - one on each end. It is possible to lever this cover off increasing practical light output.
Now, is it possible to upgrade the bulbs themselves to a stronger bulb?

Yes, they are 194. I have replaced mine.

194 is the socket type.
You can get it your local auto part or at eBay or PrecisionLED.
Mine is exactly that part which to me is just bright enough for my taste.
And I use it for all other locations as well.

LED that I used


The blue tint cover for the original bulbs are due to the high heat and it helps pull them out. The original bulbs are 194 type Wedge bulbs (not LED).
