  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi guys, I'm new to the genesis world, but I've been reading threads on the site for about 2 months now. I see several different intake mods/advice etc. Bought my Genny two months ago, the car is pretty stout stock, but was definitely missing something. I did research, shopped around(There's not much for these cars). Saw youtube abel video.. I decided to take a chance on weapon R. I'm glad I did, this intake is amazing. Engine growls, pulls hard thru the powerband. Im very impressed with this intake. Just wanted to verify also, that it comes with an heat shield and ram air add-on. Dont know if that was ever addressed on here. I'll post pics soon. Just wanted to put this out there, just in case anyone was wondering. Thanks

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Congrats. I think you're the first on the board to install one.
I'm just curious. Don't you all think the stock system pulls in more cold air than this setup?
I'm referring to the piece that pulls air from over the radiator.
I've looked under the stock airbox and there isn't a big opening to pull in cold air.

the stock system is a decent one, but its very restrictive. I'll be adding a short clip of engine sound w/ weapon R.. Its pretty beast.

couldnt load the vid.. Guess the file was too large.

Post it on youtube, then link it here :D

btw.

Welcome to the forum :)

try again..

Nothings simple these days..

I must be missing something but I can't find a sedan intake on CarID.com, just intakes for the 2.0 and 3.8 coupes. Can someone post a link for this product?

no exhaust all stock.. Click the v6 intake and once you go to the order page, under the options, you can click the 5.0 v8 option.

Can anyone confirm if the 5.0 and 4.6 V8's have the same intake setups? Given that the 5.0 is a bored out 4.6 I'm assuming they would be identical.

The 3.8 and 4.6 have an mass airflow sensor and the 5.0 doesn't IIRC. An intake for a 4.6 for example would need a spot fabricated for a MAF sensor.

That's right, forgot about metering difference. Might be more trouble than it's worth for me.
