Within the past week....
- Got a forward collision system failure notice, went away after maybe 10 minutes during same drive
- Got a haptic feedback failure notice, went away after a few minutes during the same drive
- Steering wheel not retracting when getting out, staying in memory set 1 position, doesn't happen every time
- Gas mileage is resetting almost every time I start the car, sometimes while I am driving, doesn't happen every time
- Clock is resetting and doing a 12hr sweep when stopping or starting the car, doesn't always happen with mpg reset, but pretty consistent. Doesn't happen every time I stop or start
- When shifting from R to P, when backing into driveway or parking space, there is now a significant THUNK on the shifter, but only when shifting out of R, happens every time
- As of today, shifted into R to back into a spot, pressed the gas aaaaaand nothing, was all WTF, shifted to P and back to R, got a response.... might have thought this was isolated but now I am SURE (because of this) that twice recently the accelerator wasn't responding right away when slowly pulling away from a stop sign, I thought I was imagining things, clearly I wasn't aaaaaand can't replicate
If this were a Volvo, while I wouldn't be happy about any of it, I wouldn't genuinely FEAR going to the dealership as my family have been going to Roger Beasley on 290 for almost 20 years (and the owner lives down the street from my mother). In central TX, I have 2 options, South Point Hyundai, which is GHEHEHEHEEETTO, or Round Rock Hyundai which is less hooptytown central but has equally as horrifying reviews. I guess I could take the reviews with a grain of salt, but my mother goes there for her 2013 Genesis oil changes etc and they have always done their best to make sure they inform her that's she is imagining everything and there is no problem and they have nothing to fix. RR Hyundai is also notorious for getting yelp reviews pulled, hey, it's a Penske dealership, they have more money than god and undoubtedly have some modicum of influence over Yelp, not saying yelp is reliable, honest, trustworthy, etc, just making a point. I wish I had an alternative, ANY alternative, but for a less than 2 year old car with less than 12k miles, the prospect of having to take it to them is nothing less than stomach turning. As Dr. Zoidberg would say, it is giving me the anxieties. The interior (white) is PERFECT and I have taken great pains to ensure the paint is FLAWLESS (I'm the guy that parks 2 miles from the front door of, well, any place). The bottom line though is I clearly have to take it in. Son, I am disappoint.
Had to vent folks.
