  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Does it illuminate with the same look as the Lexus? That is if you have seen the brightness of the Lexus trunk light.:D

Got the Blend mount installed a few weeks ago, and threw in a full set of WeatherTech mats and a spoiler.

Hey bud.. Nice ride.. Question for ya, where and how did you get that radar hooked up like that? Are the wires hidden.. Hooked up to the fuse box?

It's wired directly into the mirror's power source. Only issue I have is having to remove it when I go on base.........everyday:(

This is a great ongoing thread. Just bumped it because it's had no posts lately.

What did I do for my Genesis today? I left it in the garage because hail was predicted. Thankfully, it did not materialize here.

Refueled, washed, vac'd & checked tires.. Stood back & gloated:D
Then took wifey for a nice ride in the shiny Lard"

Please explain to me what a clay bar does exactly and can detail shops do this?

Removes contaminants in the paint that a normal wash will not. One of the necessary steps before applying a sealant (wax, polymer)

...although I've found that any good wax will remove 98% of all the difficult-to-remove particles that washing will not. Of course, one takes the chance of "grinding in" any really tough particles that arent disolved by the wax. Similarly, untrained use of clay can do the same. There are plenty of threads here on this very topic. So to get back on it....

Me.... I washed, dried and vacuumed the car, then wiped out the interior. All ready for the weekend! She's PURDY!

Did the "ashtray mod" and then wire brushed/polished the results. After I installed it, I noticed the lighter plug surround has blue lighting like the rest of the dash and my blue LED foot well lights, but the little white plastic "window" on the tray is for a dull yellow/white light. Now to find a way to match that. It never ends.......................
