  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Debadged the rear a few weekends ago.

Nice job on the calipers!

I removed the Carmax vinyl sticker from my trunk lid and replaced the Carmax license plate frame. YOU GET NO FREE ADVERTISING FROM ME!!!!! :p
Im with you on the no free advertising!

I make them take off any dealer-applied stickers or badging before I sign on the dotted line, that way if they damage the paint (extremely unlikely, I know) it's still their car. I have custom license plate frames anyway so I let them keep that on (until I get home).

Should've told them to pay you a monthly amount to keep it on the car lol I HATE when dealerships advertise on cars, especially the stickers.

Yeah, the stickers are lame. I can understand a license plate frame since they're an easy swap. I'd ask them to pay me if I didn't think I'd get laughed at :D

Then just laugh back when they ask why. Remember, as the consumer, you have all the power

Love this setup

Took some time and cleaned the exhaust tips yesterday. Back when I have my '15 Sonata, I was never sure why the tips were so dirty. When I say dirty, I mean caked with carbon deposits. It looks even worse when the blackness isn't spread evenly on the exhaust tip.

I cleaned my previous G35 and those looked new afterwards. The Genesis wasn't as bad as the Sonata or the G35 but I figured I would since I had the time.

What I used:
- Windex
- Steel wool (three pack)
- Latex gloves
- Paper towels
- Metal polisher
- Painters tape

Came out excellent with some patience with the polishing part. I'm too much of a "neat freak" to do this in 5 minutes so it took about 45 min. Doing it your first time, depending on how bad the tips are, it's about a 45 min - 1 hour job. Not bad and does wonders for a part of the car that often gets overlooked.

First picture is before and the two others are after.

Before you sign on the dotted line, that is... Afterwards can be a different story. It isn't always, but it can be.

Apparently he didn't, because that so-in-so traded it in!

I did, I did! but the red one was so pretty and I kept the wheels, though  ..... it was going to happen sooner or later, lol

True. Nowadays, most brand dealers have up to a 3 day/500 mile "trial" period after one buys. This might be on track to giving the consumer as much power as a child with a cell phone. Abuse away

Hi NTX,

I’m really interested in the tire/rim set you bought. Now that’s it’s been a few months, have your feelings changed on the ride quality? Any regrets? Thanks!

Did the stereo install a few weeks back. Just got around to installing the acr-2 remote for the lcq-1, it’s left over from a previous vehicle install. My fingers are small enough to use the space left of the parking brake for the knob.

Took 30 mins of just sitting in the car for that idea to finally pop in my head. I’m very pleased with the location.
