  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

do you have a sound clip of the exhaust?

I will definitely be posting a video in a couple of days due to the fact that there isn't enough of content out there as is and it super bummer'ish cause it's a dope car I will keep you updated when I post it on youtube

I just replaced factory air filters with K&N's. Easy job, takes about 20 min.

so that's the pair of dynomax VTs (17159?) and what else? did you ditch the center resonator or replace it with something else?

sounds beautiful btw, if a little loud for my tastes.

Well today think I did something that nobody's else has done I put the 2014 injen intake on my 2016 genesis sedan and it fit perfectly but had to make minor modifications but it was well worth it to how nice it feels and sounds hopefully I was the first to try since I couldn't find anything about this on the forum.

Most impressive!!! Did you start a separate thread for this with more pictures and maybe a install write-up? I love what you did & would like to hear more about it, even some videos if possible.

Tony

Bit late on the post, but I was without internet at the cabin and tenting for the past week and a bit with the new car. So here's what I've done with the car the past week.

Got the new badges in the mail and stuck those on. Looks a lot more uniform now with all the same badges on. Thanks to the forums for offering them in a simple to get place!

Then I proceeded to follow the 15th Annual Newfoundland Targa Ashpalt Rally around the island! Was a super fun week, met a lot of people from all over the world and the country, as well as a few participating from home. For anyone unfamiliar with the event; it consists of over 1600 km of driving and over 440 km of closed road rally racing completed over a 7 day period. This takes place across the entire Avalon Peninsula. This year there were 54 competitors in various racing and non-competitive divisions. Its quite an experience to be on the edge of a road with Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Porsches coming at you doing over 200 km/h on local bumpy, twisty roads; or standing on a cliff-side watching the built Subaru, Audi and Mitsubishi race-cars wind down the closed road courses. Of course I took advantage of this occasion to drive some of the closed roads myself before and after the events as the pace-cars passed by :D. The Genesis is quite capable, even in V6 variation, when pushed even just moderately. The brakes are phenomenal for such a large car, it really can stop pretty much on a dime. Glad I got out to the event and got a little bit of driving in myself. :)
Also had the girlfriends Honda Fit out on a couple of the courses, and god is that car fun to drive. The difference between the 2014 down and the 2015 - present Fit is actually night and day with regards to overall driving dynamics and performance, as well as creature comforts and styling. I actually like her current car, as where the old one she had was - being nice here - absolutely dull, and boring.

Anyway, that was my week. Went camping in Terra Nova National Park after the event for a couple nights and did a bit of hiking on some of the islands trails within the park. Beautiful trails, and beautiful scenery at the end of every one. Overall a great week/weekend with some fantastic people and moments. :)

I may post some pics in the near future if I can figure out how to downsize the massive photos my phone takes. Hahaha. The photos are all in Super-HD at over 2k resolution, so they're a little large for the forums. ;)

From that angle, it looks like it's already lowered. Wheels are nice, though.

Btw. When ARK shipped mine, twice, they came within 4-5 days.

Took her out to test out a new lens Nikon 200-500mm :D

Hey Dareck,

If I want this look, am I to order the Ark "F" for the front and "S" for the rear?

What are the specs of your wheels and tires? Wheel width, diameter, offsets and tire specs?

Looking to get the same color G80 V8 and will be getting some wheels and springs for it.

Thanks,

Scott

My car sits on "F" type springs - front and rear.

Wheels are VELGEN VMB5 Matte Gunmetal in 20×9″ et35 front and 20×10.5″ et45 rear
Tires Nitto555 255/35/20 and 285/30/20

I'm very happy with this setup.

Sweet! Thank you.

I was also looking at the Velgen wheels.. May need to go a different route, so I'm not a copy cat. I love that I'll be able to run such a wide tire in the back as well. Was worried I would have issues going wider than the factory size. ....

I would like a wheel similar to the Linea Corse wheels I had on my 1st Genesis Sedan:

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Now that's interesting. Tell us more? :)

LED Strip

There's a gap between parts and the strip easily fits in there

It's 3V so i ordered a converter from 12V to 3V, still waiting for it though... Thinking to connect it via a fuse tap adapter. Will update later

Cool. Link to that transformer as well? :) In your pix - is that transparent blue?

Installed Full LED System headlights

That's sexy af! Love the LEDs so much. How much of a pain was it to get them working properly with the North American model?

Plug and play, took me 1.5 hours to install

How is their performance in the dark vs the HID?
