If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Let the fun begin.

I decided to put a coating on my wheels today. I purchased McKees 37 foaming wheel cleaner and McKees 37 wheel coating. The coating is a ceramic nanoglass that is suppose to last for a year. Brake dust is suppose to rinse off with a spray of water and a little soap. We'll see. They say prep is very important so.....

1. I washed them and dried them with a leaf blower.
2. Clayed them and rinsed them off with water. Dried again.
3. Sprayed the foaming cleaner on them. It was suppose to dissolve any brake dust I missed with the clay bar. Rinsed and dried again. It was important for them to be completely dry before applying the coating.
4. Applied the coating and wiped with a MF after it dried. (about two minutes)
A little goes a long way with the coating.

Nothing major, just a little dusty, so I cleaned it up :spoton:

Almost done.

Hell yeah! Looks amazing. I’m definitely interested in doing both the front/rear sport bumpers, definitely gives an updated and aggressive look to the Genesis. Not to mention the previous owner scuffed the living crap out of the front and rear OEM bumpers... Good excuse to upgrade ;)

So far in my 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate....
1. Painted calipers red....will add Genesis in white letters tomorrow
2. Added Mobis LED foglights
3. Installed a switch for the fogs on the fuse access panel, left of steering wheel
4. Added a Bazooka powered subwoofer and tied it into the factory amp. Sounds fantastic and would be an easy upgrade with what I know now.
5. Replaced the yellow DRL's and turn signal 1157 lights with Sylvania LEDs. All white, all the time (not racist, just not switchback yellows)
6. Installed the AEM Cold Air Intake. Very satisfied with the improvement in sound, particularly from 2300 rpm to 3000 rpm. My butt-o-meter says the car is quicker but I'll probably never know for sure unless I race my wife in her 2015 Genesis 3.8 AWD Ultimate.

I'm running out of stuff to do. Any ideas? Want more power....

Rear and sides are now complete. Overall it was quite involved, but its easily a 20 hour job with one person. With the right tools and handy around a car.

New TSW Wheels and painted calipers

Installed TSW Cadwell 18" Wheels, 1.5" hub centric spacers, painted the calipers Burnt Copper with the Genesis Logo.
The tire stick out about 1.25" from the fender but I think the wide stance looks aggressive.

Nice! Love the caliper paint!

Re: Share Photos of Your 2015 Genesis Here.

It seems like the genesis logo should be other way around? Color looks good though.

Re: Share Photos of Your 2015 Genesis Here.

For the front did you only need to replace the bumper and grille for the conversion

Re: Share Photos of Your 2015 Genesis Here.

so here is what is needed.

2x bumper retainer clips the side pieces that goes on the fender that holds the bumper edges
1x top bumper pieces that holds it to the radiator support need rivet gun
1x under tray
1x bumper stiffener
2x lower chrome grills
1x center grill and chrome piece
2x air scoops
2x fender liners
2x bumper clip type piece that goes underneath the head light needs rivet gun too.
1x center main grill with scc cover for the radar
1x scc cover
1x g80 sport bumper cover

you can use most of the screws from the old bumper, and you will need a new emblem to since its the more updated looking one. Other than that its pretty straight forward, you will have to delete the headlight washers if you have awd. The foam piece form the old bumper doesn't fit, the new g80 sport bumper piece doesn't fit either cause its thicker so you can either cut it up and make it fit or leave it out. I left it out it works just fine, I might go back and trim it and see how to make it fit.

Also the sonic sensor wiring harness you will have to find a way to get it to hold on the new bumper, I used existing screws and wire clip holders to hold them looks really good and secure.

I like the calipers, lookin good. Those rims would go quite nice with a bit of drop and camber (nothing too crazy), knock a little bit of that top poke off. :)

Sounds like you have done some awesome upgrades. Care to share the info on the LED DRL's. That sounds like something I would like to do.
