  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

I just hate detailing black cars.
Never owned one for that reason. But when done right, they sure look good.

I'm not allowed to own a white car. In our early days I bought used cars and had four white in a row. Wife does not allow them now.

Never had a truly red car, but have had darker shades of red in the form of burgundy.

Dropped it off for the tire recall.

The RPD detective is working on "my case"....he told me today, that on the same night, there was an armed robbery, two masked suspects might be the same individuals he mentioned to me, which are in custody now for something else they did near my house a few days ago.
If I can get the Bluelink to work with our PD, that would be awesome! all we need now, is to find out in which/kind car they used to get there. If they can prove my car was near the gas station that night, it would be very important.

As for the ins. claim, I don't think they would actually pay for new wheels and V1. I'll deal with them next week.

The big thing is the finger prints. The sh*tty part is that it takes awhile for forensics. Unless your deductible is high, I would claim that in a heartbeat. I would go mad driving around with curb rash. To each their own. Do you have a picture of the wheels?

I have some and I post them later....kind of busy now, as my girls were in accident yesterday and the car will be totaled most likely. Not my car, though. Wife's '17 Santa Fe fully loaded.

I've been OBSESSED with the AEM cold air intake I installed on Friday.

With about 60-75% throttle, that bad boy just opens its gaping mouth and sucks in so much air.
Trying to be a cool cameraman, I mounted my action cam (Thieye t5e) to the hood to record the sound.... Alas the internal microphone just loves picking up all the wind noise.... Waiting for a microphone to come this afternoon to get a better sound.

With the dark black tint and deep sparkling black paint.... I just love having a car that sounds just a touch different than the rest of the soul killing beige corollas out there.

Having that deep bellowing rumble when I step on the gas, with a little raspy growl from the exhaust pipes... My car is really coming together. Refined, understated, but also having presence in a sea of wallpaper paste cars. :D:D:D:D:D
I promised myself that I would make all the adjustments/modifications IMMEDIATELY on this car, with my old Mazda3 I waited years to do the things I wanted. lol then sold it :(

Driving with my girlfriend yesterday (who doesn't know I dropped $$$ on a CAI) I rolled down the windows claiming I loved the sound of my "exhaust"... She said she understood... I'm basically a big child... entertained by simple things lol.

Dang D. Hope everyone is OK.

That's a huge bummer! Hope everyone is doing okay!

Your cars are taking a beating the past few days. Again, glad everyone is okay!

Damn bro, can't catch a break for the past week or two, glad your kid is well.

Here are some pictures of our Santa Fe and the other car, it was Toyota Prius. Both cars will be totaled, I'm pretty sure. The driver of Prius was an elder women ~67, she was taken to the hospital in Chicago by helicopter, State trooper said she was in bad shape, though.

You are having a rough month, however you are blessed as well since no one has gotten hurt in these very serious incidents.

Best of luck to you and your family. This month is almost over, I hope next month goes better for you and your family.

LOL. I am a man-child myself so I understand. My wife have learned to accept it.:)

Sound like you really like the AEM intake. Be prepared for a few member to say the performance gains is all in your head. Oh, and you need to provide a dyno test sheet to prove that AEM does make your engine more responsive.:)

Ha! Thankfully I'm not into it for the responsiveness or the performance gains. This car is a boat, anyone trying to make it go faster is silly. I just like the sound the intake makes :)

Just like in my Mazda3 it hasn't made any noticeable difference in how it moves, just in how it sounds, and that was worth the cost of the intake for me :D.

WOW that Prius took a beating! I thought they were highly rated for safety... The Santa Fe faired much better.
I hope the elder woman makes it through. Definitely looks like a heavy hit probably broken bones.

No matter who was at fault, when you're in a serious crash like that nobody feels good. I hope they are processing that mental stress okay. Our thoughts are with you and yours!!

Wow man, I hope everyone is okay. I would say both cars are definitely totaled.

Dang D. Thats terrible. Sorry this happened man. Hope it all works out for everyone involved.

Bought my car from Carmax too... the salesman removed the carmax decal without me even asking... no license plate frame either

I removed the Carmax vinyl sticker from my trunk lid and replaced the Carmax license plate frame. YOU GET NO FREE ADVERTISING FROM ME!!!!!

Has anyone just lowered their 2015 with springs on stock wheels/tires?
Pics if you do

Here you go - my '15 5.0 lowered on ARK GT-F springs, no rubbing at all. I drifted it in snow too, lol

Nice! thanks for posting! I believe I'll be able to afford springs before wheels/tires

edit: any noticeable change in ride quality?

The ride quality isn't much different, if you stay with OEM wheels/tires. Of course, you'll notice the handling is better, especially taking corners.

It gets more harsh when on 20's and the tire's sidewall are smaller.
