  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Cleaned the steering wheel.

Wow. It feels like it just came out of factory! Looks bolder too! :)

Was playing around with the armrest too:

I used magic eraser x2. I know there has been a lot of topic saying that it harms the leather but I was very gentle and did 2-3 passes in one area only. Good idea is to condition the leather after. I am loving it. Also used chemical brothers leather cleaner and brush on the seats and car feels brand new now :)

Thanks. I just used magic erasers to clean my seats today. Been using them on every leather interior I've had that needed a good cleaning. Seats turned out great. Never used one on the steering wheel but after your post I went out and looked at mine and think I'll give it a shot. It's definitely slicker than I'd like. I used Meguiars leather cleaner on my seats combined with in between passes of a little Dawn heavily diluted in water. They look and feel so much better.

Its about time! Interesting reflections going on there.
No kidding, huh? I didn't notice until you mentioned it. I live in an older area of Macon and there are more pine trees than you can shake a strick at which accounts for most of it.

I've only had the car a week, but it's had an annoying ticking sound somewhere on the passenger side when the a/c is on. Been bugging me but not too bad until yesterday. It finally got to me that my nice new to me car had a noise (I hate cabin noises like rattles, etc.). So I decided to check under the dash to see if I could reach anything under there, then I saw that it's all enclosed. Just before I started to get up, I caught a glimpse of something that didn't look right. A little leaf had somehow gotten in one of the vents down there and every time the air was turned on it would move around and make the little ticking noise. Once I got it out the noise stopped. Celebrated with a nice quiet drive.

Went to sleep at 3am... But it was worth it. I stayed up all night making the LED strip to work as a DRL instead of the blinker light that is a DRL too. They are bright when all light are off and they go to dim mode when parking lights or headlights are on. I am so in love! Best mode I did to my car so far:

20677

20678

I will be making a tutorial in couple of days for those who would like to make the same change to their 2015s.

Looks great! I don't know why Hyundai didn't send it out of the factory this way.

Looking forward to reading your TUT. This could very well be the first Mod on my 2015.

Old DRL light work as before since I am waiting for switchback relays to arrive. I had to keep original DRL’s so I don’t get the hyper flash. The way it works now:
Acc - led DRL off
Ignition on - led DRL on
Light switch position:
DRL off - led DRL bright is on
Auto - during the day, both bright led and blinker are on. At night, dim led and headlight on
Parking light - dim led
Headlight on - dim led and headlights on

So during the day, if I want to only keep bright DRL on, I need to keep the light position switch on DRL off position. Once the new switchbacks arrive, it will work as following (same as stock 2016 setting):

DRL off - all light off
Auto during the day - bright led on and if blinker is triggered, bright led switches off completely until blinker stops and then it goes back to bright on
Auto during night - dim led and headlights on
Parking lights - dim led
Headlights - dim led and headlights on

Today I upgraded my plain 2015 5.0 Genesis brake and gas pedals to shiny 2017+G80 sport pedals.
