  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Nice!!! I just covered my scratched pillar trim with some black vinyl DiNoc carbon fiber trim covers. I wished that I knew that the stock pillars could be polished since I like the piano black trim look also. However, the black carbon fiber pillar look does help my Genesis stand out in the crowd.
Good job on bringing the trim back to life.:)

Here is how my DiNoc carbon fiber pillars look on my dirty Genesis. LOL.The trim even feels like carbon fiber when you touch it.

Looks really nice where did you find these to purchase?

Ebay. Just type in genesis sedan pillar covers in the search box.

I apologize for my ignorance on the matter, how can I figure out if it is up to date. What am I looking for. I am very uneducated about these things. Thanks
Not sure on some of the stuff, but navigation can be checked at www.mapnsoft.com There is a new version about every 6 months.

The old version in my 2015. This is 6.5 or so.

The newest version. This is 13.5.

The updates also affects the entire audio system software including bluetooth features and other firmware tweaks in addition to the navigation system.

really, damn it. I updated to 13.0, iphone, but my text are not visual. I just reads them to me and I have option to respond. I like the visual option way better
Confirmed. The 13.5 update text messager service works the same way while moving in my Genesis as well. I still love it since I hate reading my text messages anyway.:)

Ok so what am I missing with this reading of texts deal. I have a 2015 AWD, no jog wheel and upgraded to 13.5 but see no option to have texts read to me.

So what's the deal? Specific model cars only get this?

Its 10 minutes later time to go wash it again.....LOL.....I feel your pain. I will never own another black car best looking color when clean but f$%k man its a full time job!
Yes it is without question the biggest PITA. I looked for about 6 months to find a low miles cpo withthe ivory interior and all choices went back to black!! Love the car but the Black sucks. It will get crappy looking just from sitting in the garage for a week. Never again for black. I feel your pain my friend

I cleaned my ride today. Black looks fantastic when clean.:)

Agree on the black, pain to keep it looking good. Please tell me how you get under your car to change the oil. The ramp I have used for several cars will not allow me to drive on.

Black is tougher to keep looking good than most colors but not too terrible. You just have to be prepared to complete a full paint correction 1-2 times per year, apply good wax at least 2-3 times per year, and keep it wash or wiped-down a few times per month. And garage it.

I know: that sounds like a pain in the neck to some people, but when I had black cars I viewed that work as relaxation therapy. :)

I only drive the car 3 or 4 times a month. I live across the street from my job . And have other vehicles to beat around in so it does not get many miles. It seems like I have to wash it after every use though. In south Dakota lots and lots of bugs. I do find it enjoyable sometimes because it looks so dang good after I am done with it. I also wax it alot helps the bugs wash off. I probably would not have purchased the car in black, If were an everyday car for me .

The wife took her's in today to have the oil changed and something looked at on her back glass. Seems the molding on her back glass is coming loose, caused by the third brake light seal deteriorating. This is a new one for me. Don't think I've seen this before on a Genesis. Then again I didn't research it either.
