  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you do with your DH Genesis today?

Try some bleach, do a burnout to make 'em sticky. :)

Wish I had bought the 5.0 (or 3.3t). I miss the power/speed.
I am so happy I went with 5.0. I am not doing burn outs or need to be the first one away from a red light, I do however love the smooth acceleration and when cruising 65mph and want to get around so slow poke no problem.

That's what I miss the most - the power on tap when on the highway. On ramps can be fun, too.

The 3.8 is not bad, but the difference between a 5 second car and a 6+ second car is more noticeable than I anticipated.

The 3.8 is nice but more is always better when it comes to HP. I could not justify the added cost for the 5.0 though.

I drove a Chevy Bolt tonight. The time to 60 is 6.4 seconds, fairly good. I don't know the actual time but 0 - 30 is really impressive. No lag while the engine winds up to produce power. My other question with electrics is the heater and AC. It was bright sun but only 80 degrees but I had to turn the AC down as it was getting too cool.

The great thing about electrics is that they can deliver max torque @ 0 rpm!

I understand how you feel. I had a couple fast cars(2002 Mercedes E55 AMG, and 2001 Volvo T6) in the past and tried to restrain myself to more fuel efficient models with 2.0T and V6 engines, and have never been happier as I was with the faster V8(AMG) and twin-turbo V6(Volvo) engines. Yes, gas mileage is crap with V8 engine and turbo-charged V6 engines; but I love them.

I like quick luxury sedans, so that is what I will buy for now on if possible. No more lying to myself. The Genesis 5.0 is perfect for me, because it is a nice luxury cruiser that can blow the doors off most boy racer cars on the road at a highway merge lane, yet it very smooth and quiet if I just want to cruise peacefully to my location in comfort.

The look on a Mustage GT owners face when my Genesis just shoot pass them at the stoplight to merge on the highway, priceless.:)

Finally finished adding external subwoofer amp. It completely solved the problem of underpowered low end sound withoud adding bulky external subwoofer. I can also adjust cutoff frequency and bass boost exactly to my preference.

Are these plug and play on a 2015 or do you have to mod the harness?

I installed similar LEDs, plug'n'play, but had to reverse (via soldering) wires so the '+' would be inside.

Yes, they are plug and play with the original harness.

Not today but so far since getting the car following mods are:
1. converted LED headlight strip to full on all the time.(easy but time consuming but totally worth it) LED's are super bright
2. (a must for those with non power trunk) replaced only one strut lifter with part# 81771-B1011. now trunk opens completely like it should have from the factory
3. installed aftermarket amp and two 8' bazookas ( more then enough bass now)
4. new shoes staggered: Rohanas RC10 20x9 et35mm 255/35/20 front - 20x10 et40mm 285/30/20 rears went with Hankook Ventus v12 evo for rubber.
5. updated Navi/radio software, liking it so far
Pretty much, I don't plan on doing too much since I really like the car as is.

Pics of the wheels and set up!
Sure as soon as weather/time permits. Wheels sit flush with fenders no rubbing issues or turning radius problem thanks to the rolled in fenders. Set up on #,s on wheels/tires on my previous post.

I have only taking a few pics so far but the wheels sit flush with the fenders no rubbing issues or turning radius problems thanks to the rolled in fenders. The number on wheels/tires specs are in my previous post. When weather/time permits I will try to get more pics in.

Thanks! Wow, they wouldn't fit with my car (thinking about going with Rohana RC7). They would definitely rub since I'm on GTS springs on a 15' 5.0. I thought I would need the same offset, but now that I see yours I'm wodering what offset I would need to go with where it wouldn't as flush to the fender. I need to be about 3-5mm inside the fenders in order for it not to rub with how low my car is.

Those Rohana RC7 are sweet lookin. You might want to look into staying with the original tire offsets for your new wheels that should give you enough clearance with your drop. Don't know if you plan on up sizing to 20's and staying staggered too. There are website where you can plug in offset numbers and tire sizes and it will let you know if you are in the clear. I don't plan on lowering mine that is why I went with the most concave I could go with , without having any issues.

Since you went with GT-S springs, stay with the offset close to OEM wheels. If you go with low offset around 35 on the the front, you will rub badly, turning wheels either way, while taking off/on any driveway, unless you go slower than ~2 mph. That was the reason I got rid of GT-S and put on GT-F springs. My set up is 20x9 et32 and 20x10.5 et45 - no issues at all.
