Understood. So, you want to pay $49.9K for the car with fees plus tax and tags, is that correct. If so, that's reasonable and maybe even a bit generous.
I'm in Florida, too. I paid $58,025 (the MSRP for my car) plus tax and tag only - no fees other than the mandated tire and battery fee. Technically, they charged me a $778 dealer fee and $165 doc fee, but I had them reduce the sale price by those amounts. Here's the breakdown. If you do the math, you'll see they made a $100 mistake, in their favor, that I believe it was a true mistake. When I came back the following day I pointed out the mistake, they checked the math, and said I was right. They refunded me $106.00 ($100 plus 6% tax) without hesitation.
You're offering $775 over MSRP including fees. Not bad for an in-demand car, but you can do better. I have an aversion to paying dealer fees and other bogus add-ons, and never have on any purchase. I was in sales for 40 years before retiring. I appreciate making a living by commission can be difficult. That's why there's a high attrition rate in the profession. I don't look to squeeze every dime out of negotiation, but look for a fair deal. At MSRP, there is a fair margin in the deal and doesn't warrant any of the dealer fees and add-ons that only have value for the dealership.
Good luck with your negotiations.
