NBC Nightly news just did a segment on the car industry basically shutting down due to the China caused Covid chip shortage. It has the industry on it's heels and prices are going to go up not down. Also re-stated that the shortage will be here for a long time as in years. Were is "chip shortage is fake news" guy that used to root around in here?

I'm so glad I got my GV70 when I did back in June and I never thought I'd feel good about paying MSRP but today I'm ok with it. This shortage will also keep my now "used" car price high as a result. The days of losing 20% of new car value the day you drive it off the lot are over. At least for now.

Yes. I paid around $2000 below MSRP, but that was 2 months ago. I'm not sure what the inventory is looking like right now, seems pretty bare last I checked. Don't focus so much on MSRP, and only worry about what you are paying OTD.

Interestingly Monroney sticker says sold to courtesy but I bought it from crown as npr Genesis only had a $200 discount with this program

Just bought a 3.5TT Advance… Black exterior with blue interior. Got it for 53K out the door brand new (All fees included). Picking it up Tuesday! Can’t wait
