  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

What did you pay for your new Genesis GV70?

Dealers do their best to charge as high an interest rate as they can . If Genesis charges 1.9 and you pay 3% that 1.1% is pure profit
Assuming I was qualified - no way to know for sure. Not everyone qualifies for 1.9 - and I imagine it's my debt to income. 740 is good, but it's not 750+, which is what I consider great. It's getting refinanced anyways, so they're going to get very little in the long run. I understand why they do it with partner banks, but doesn't seem it would be permitted or allowed with manufacturer financing. Who knows.

Might be the $0 down bumping the interest rate, which is what I agreed to in order to get rid of the premium on the sales price. That would make sense.

Noticed this at the bottom of one of the 1.9% ads - "2022 Genesis GV70: 1.9% Annual Percentage Rate (APR) up to 60 months at $17.48 per $1000 financed for well-qualified buyers. Down payment will vary depending on APR.*

Hey everyone, I just took delivery of my GV70, 2.5 with Advanced Package. And I paid ONLY sticker. No add-ons, no Market Adjustment Fees, nothing. Simply sticker, taxes, tags, and title. I had to go to like 7 different dealers, but finally found one who treated their customers fairly. I was amazed at how easy and up front everything was.

Looking to buy a GV70 I went out today and this is the price they quoted me.

I was totally shocked at the price they gave me on the vehicle (GV70 AWD 2.5T)

UYUNI White Paint Select Package, Advanced Package, Sport Prestige Package.

MSRP: $54,740. Final Selling Price $73,425.50

Selling price $62,240

Low jack $799

Dealer ad-on $995

Floor mats for $499

Paint package $1499

Adjusted price $66,431 WOW!

License, title, electronic filing, dock fees,

Final Selling Price $73,425.50

Looks like I have to do a little more shopping around I would say this particular dealer is overcharging

Congratulations. I received a price quote today that I thought was rather high for the vehicle.

I finally managed to order a GV70 2.5 Advanced through Zimbrick Genesis in Madison, WI. They are charging MSRP. Now the wait begins, could be 3-4 months but will have a better ETA by next month. Oh well, I can finally take a break and be a little more productive after searching for the past few weeks! This was CONSUMING me. :)

I live in NJ. It looks like Cherry Hill is one of the few dealers not overcharging for vehicles according to what has already been posted here.
For Cherry Hill in NJ, see post #249 on recent GV70 sale. Hopefully, they are selling at true MSRP now.

I'm financed with Genesis, so would've thought it would be offered if I qualified. Can they mark up their own financing? They didn't want to match 3.6% from my Chase pre-approval. I'm just going to refinance it in a few months, once credit cards are paid down.
Does Genesis do their own financing or is it through some other bank?

My bill says Genesis Finance but some bank may actually provide the financing . As I mentioned before if you have very good or excellent credit I would think you would qualify for 1.9 % financing .
It’s dependent on your down payment amount as well, as shown in the terms and conditions in the ads.

Tusc. Thank you for your post. I live in northern IL. My first price (today) was rather high. I'll be open to shopping outside my state.

K9Bob, you might also might want to check Genesis in Mattoon, IL. They are charging MSRP for IL residents. I’m in NW IL so Madison was closer to me.

Should have asked "Did you miss adding any charges? Price looks too good to be true ;)"

On a serious note, I wouldn't pay that amount for 3.5 Prestige let alone 2.5. Check with other dealers, you should be able to score MSRP.

I had to laugh (in a not-so-funny way)...

Looking at stock at Freehold NJ Genesis dealership

They tacked on a $5k Paint Package fee to the price of every GV70 3.5 Sports Prestige

That’s weird, my Sport Prestige already came painted from the factory as part of the MSRP price 😂

Wow, that is absurd. I'm working with a local, ceramic trained and certified detailer to put a 5 year ceramic treatment on my GV70.....total cost = $850. But before he does that, I'm getting the paint protection film applied to the front bumper, 1/4 front of hood, and side mirrors.....total cost $1100. I cannot believe these shady dealers and their ripoff add-ons.

Is $449 an acceptable DOC FEE? That seems to be the only thing I see being added on to the GV70 3.5 Sports Prestige at Cherry Hill

(and I think this is the Sports Prestige although it doesn't state PRESTIGE in the description)
