  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I like the power of my V8 and and the smooth shifting of the ZF transmission.

The solid feel of the chassis and body and tight steering. The thing is built like a plush tank.

Agreed.... add. power, and the sound system to the list..

I like the ride and handling, as well as the amazing power of the 3.8. I test drove both, but to me the 3.8 feels more agile and has more power than I will ever need.

The intoxicating power of the V8 is at the top of my list of likes. The overall value provided by this vehicle is just outstanding. I feel good every time I get in it, when I think that I came very close to buying another Mercedes and spending at least $15K more than I did for the Genesis.

So many things:)) The car feels solid and tight on the road.
I wear hearing aids and that quietness of the car at hiway speeds means I can carry on a normal conversation. Again re the hearing aids, the radio is awesome.
So many other things about the car ...................

In short - as advertised roughly 7 series size/luxury at roughly 3 series price. Now I can supplement my smugness about the greatness of my car with smugness of knowing I made the kind of major league value play on a full-size luxury sedan that *many* wouldn't have the self-confidence to remotely consider. ;-p (I very nearly chose BIG3KILR for my vanity plate...)

But seriously if I had to choose one feature I'd probably say the cocoon-like quiet cabin. Sometimes I purposefully ride around with music off just to appreciate the noise insulation.

Aside from all the obvious stuff, I like that I have the only one out of everyone I know. "Uniqueness"

An astounding car + a tremendous value = no 'morning after' sickness!!...Nothing else in it's league...

3 tons

The 25k, that I saved by not buying a new LS 460 and getting a car that I feel is just as good. I love the V8 and the stereo system.

that awesome v8 power, accentuated by Borla :)
riding comfort and great highway performance

riding in the fast lane at at highway speeds, seeing someone come right up on your tail, putting the pedal to the metal and watching the car get tinier and tinier very fast!

Looks great in a parking lot, the Lexicon, and the effortless passing power.

1. Lexicon Sound System
2. 4.6 POWER!

Well, I've only actually owned the car for a day, but:

- I really like the design. Love driving into my work parking lot (which seems to have an even mix of BMWs, Mercedes, Lexus, and Infinitis) and being the one guy in the whole lot of thousands to have this car. Enjoying the interest from others (already, after one day) trying to figure out what it is (I put on the winged badge).
- The 4.6 power is awesome - I get to drive around 10 miles on pretty uncongested wide open freeway through the northern CA hills on the way home and this car just eats it up.
- Personally like the DIS as part of the tech package - enjoying using technology from this decade. I'm a simple man - this is my first car with bluetooth integration (which I love).
- The leather seats are quite plush.
- I like the subtle blue illuminated "Genesis" on the floor when I open the doors
- Feeling like I can laugh all the way to the bank with the ridiculous pricing and lease financing I just got - priceless.

1/ The value ... more car for less money.
2/ Quiet (except when hard accelerating, but that's OK).
3/ Fit and finish (interior and exterior).
4/ Handling ... tracks like an arrow.
5/ Comfort ... love the seats.
6/ Acceleration is awesome for a V-6.
7/ Sound system.

Coming from a 12 1/2 year old 3-Series, here is what I like

  1. The power available when needed with the V-8
  2. The roomy interior for me AND Backseat Passengers
  3. The Active Cruise Control (LOVE THIS FEATURE)
  4. Tech integration (NAV/SAT/BT) all at my fingertips
  5. Great Value....

Done

I agree with nearly everything posted in this thread; but, I must add that the brakes on the V8 are terrific! I have never once had the braking action squeal the tires even though I've had to brake very sharply more than once. Best brakes ever, IMHO!

Still love my gennie! She's the best.

Value for the money, the ride is awesome and the perfrmance of the v-8 even more. Dealers cutting good deals!
